Indoor flying on a Dynamic Foamy D320 which is Bert's F3P type plane. It builds very easily and seems to fly very neat and clean. This was the maiden on this plane. We actually got the plane early this year but then indoor ended. Aaron built his own SFGs and put brakes on every surface... not that you are supposed to do that but he felt it would help the plane fly more slowly. So, it sat since March and came to life today. We are looking forward to flying and building this winter.
Aaron had a good time. The CY is the greatest thing since sliced bread... or, at least until the crack yak lite came out... You gotta thank Brad, Chris, Cody and the rest of the team for coming up with this series of planes. They opened a door to young pilots like Aaron. When we were at Nall in May, Aaron was flying Cody's Crack Yak and having a hard time keeping up with it quite honestly. Now, he needs the speed of it to test his skills. He is loving to fly it and we hope you love to watch.
This is the milled version from Dynamic and it flies well enough to do you IMAC sequence and will stand up and hover as well. It's small enough that you don't have to run all your friends out of the gym when you fly. We like that. Space is an issue in small gyms and more than one or so 32" foamies makes almost any indoor space crowded. Pretty good flight time on 1S TP Batteries. The electronics are just the brushed motor and the rest of the guts out of the old E Flite Extra where it was a depron fuse milled out all the way through and then covered in Mylar. Dynamic makes a Yak 54 like that and it flies very well also. Anyway, video one and quite a few more to post tonight. Enjoy!!!
A friend gave Aaron another MX2 from Fancy Foam for his birthday. And, this was the maiden flight here in the yard since we can't wait for indoor to start... So, out with the old and in with the new we always say... You'll like the ending on this one
A guy in the vehicle next to us at this weekend's fly-in crashed a brand new 100cc S Bach. Radio or Servo issue had it flopping over from side to side as it went lower and lower into the brush at SWAP (South West Area Park) in Baltimore. This is all that was left after we walked through 8 foot high swamp grass to go help the guy find it. Gotta help out a brother in need though because you know it would be no fun getting your plane out by yourself...
Black Dirt IMAC Regionals again here. Best freestyle event of the year. I'd rather watch than take video but the video lasts forever. I hope you enjoy this flight. Chris is a super guy and he has been flying very well all year. This tops off a great season!
We're up here in New York flying with the McCormack boys this weekend at IMAC's Black Dirt Regionals. Here is Steven flying his 3DHS 58" Edge. We'll have plenty of vids this weekend at the rate these guys are going. It's so good that we get together and fly a couple times a year. Aaron looks up to these guys and they are helping him along with IMAC and 3D. Thanks.
