This was Aaron's first flight for warming up this afternoon. Everyone is setting up to fly their quadcopters and mini vapors so he took advantage of the few minutes to get into some 3D/Freestyle.
Aaron taking a flight on the Mini CY at WRAMS 2013... we had fun and met quite a few great people. Here's the flight...
This is Cody
This is awesome
Nothing more needs saying
I can't stop watching this one... If you have travelled many an IMAC season and love new planes every year, this is for you
This is a flight from this morning in New Jersey... fun to fly there the past couple years.
Here is abetter flight from this afternoon. Fun to have a gym when it's blowing 20 mph and it's 20 degrees outside...
Here is flight number one from today's indoor session... hope you like it
Aaron had the mini sitting on the wall with no hands on the sticks... fun little flight warming up for freestyle this afternoon.
Aaron got some good stick time in at the gym again today. We had some new tunes to fly with and a couple good friends at the gym as well. Here is four and a half minutes of Mini Crack Yak good times. The plane is doing everything well right now. Aileron Servo is starting to strip a little again. Took the other ones that stripped apart and find teeth on the gears are missing. They are not handling the torque load being put into them by the servo motors very well. They keep on flying though. Don't overdrive them in the radio settings. That will help.
New digital servo got here just in time to get going today. Awesome flying today. Aaron was getting back into the rifle rollers and rolling in the downlines now that the roll rate is back in spades! Hope you enjoy the flight as much as we did.
Flying the usual CY Mini last weekend with some music... good times
Aaron had a chance to fly a different plane in the gym this past weekend. Granted, taking it easy with Tom's plane but he did fly it low and had fun too... fly it til the wheels fall off
Aaron flew again today.. more indoor fun on the TH CY Mini!
This is why these Twisted Planes are so good for your flying skills overall. Fly, hit stuff, little crash here, little crash there... no problem whatsoever and no need to get CA or Welders to get the plane flying again. Pick your plane up and go about your business. Aaron is practicing all of his harrier rolling and getting them low.
Can't get enough of flying this Mini Crack Yak in the gym. Aaron has been doing great on it but we still need to get a new aileron servo. Only three flights in it started stripping and I don't think it's able to be rebuilt. It may slow down the roll rate or do something but you can't tell from Aaron's flying. Fun little plane and a better size for our gym which is small and only one basketball court. Might post some other videos of this and the standard CY tonight.
Here's another flight from the other day when Aaron was flying the Mini at the gym. Thanks to the table we had a special take off area again!
Aaron hit the gym with the mini for the first time today. It was great flying the Mini outdoor the last couple weeks but in the gym, this thing is awesome! It really does make the gym feel big and when he flew the standard CY right after this flight, the 32" plane felt like a 50CC gasser in terms of size. All good from here and hope you enjoy your Sunday!
Roll rate is awesome and tons of power to scream if you want to. Aaron flew a few batts through this this afternoon to get ready for indoor tomorrow. This is just before the fingers froze to the sticks and we had to go sit by the wood stove a while to get the radio out of his hands...
