Finally got a chance to fix the missing pipe on my cowl.

Cut a piece of 1/2" pvc to length, hit it with a heat gun for 15-20 seconds, pressed down on the table with a flat piece of steel till it cooled. couple coats of gloss black spray paint and poof. Fairly simple TBH. Went ahead and made one for each side since it wasnt an exact match to the factory one. held it in place with a spot of CA while the 30mn epoxy cured and its solid as can be.

Took the PZ P-47 out for a quick flight during lunch today. The tail had gotten a little beat up riding in the trunk of my car so it was out of trim.

Flew about half a pack while fiddleing with the elivator trim to get it to quit diving when uprite. Thought I had it set , stupidly checked the inverted flight on a low pass instead of up high. Had too much up trim so it started to drop as soon as I flipped it. The idiot behind the transmitter immediatly pulled 'up' to stop the dive, You know the rest......

Well, I knew this was going to happen, but to pushed off doing somthing about it for too long.

Others in the VQ PC-6 thread mentioned how the scale cowl exaust had a habit of falling off. I noticed during my assembly that they were only held on with what appears to be CA and hope.
Sure enough, one of mine has now fallen off during flight and is most likely laying somewhere out in the tall grass where it will be almost impossible to find.

Sigh.... now off to find a way to fabricate new ones that will be less prone to bail out.
