you can see the new LMT1020-12 tested inside wemotec microfan 50mm
it is near the end of pack but still have 470g static thrust.
YGE 30 controller set auto-timing, more thrust can be gain at 12 deg timing
when you have good ventilation and cooler ambient

w/ alfa 3 blade 60mm edf unit reading should be around 27A and 590g thrust!

new shiny magnet and no damage on coils , the screw protecting disc is glued onto the coil with silicon glue, but for edf where cooling is critical it is better without.

Ravi,

here is the pics of the motor , please note a purchase date on the invoice and motor 10,09 (october,09) mine is for comparison dated 6,04 (june,04) 5 years old but performs as new.

Lehner motor has long proven history in competition esp in f5d and boat. it is 2 pole and has segmented rotor so the mass is a bit heavy compared to other multipolers but win in efficiency. overall performance is awesome!

just set it right (e.g. timing set from 6, 18 deg is max) and watch the temp (100 deg celcius is the limit).

edf application is always pushing into the limit but for a longer flight heat sink is a must. and must have some opening hole to avoid " heat soak " when the motor shut. the inside temp might suddently rise to near motor limit, thats why the screw protector disk is removed and put beside the motor for edf application. it was glued with silicon glue by LMT.
