Built my first Multirotor. Actually.. built my first anything RC kit.
DJI FW450 Naza M V2 W/GPS kit.
It was not all that hard, though I was nervous about my soldering skills.
In the end, I did not do to bad.
Setting up the Naza was super easy, just followed the directions.
Holds position WAY better than my 350qx, and handles the Tarot Gimbal no problem.
All in all.... Looking at building a 550 now.

Been a while since I posted in this blog.
The fleet has grown, and the SR is no longer part of it. My newest addition is the 130X and I am just having a blast with it. For all the bad that I have read about it, I have 40 flights on mine and it is as good as day one out of the box. But... I have kept mine stock, and understand that the 130X is not a high end heli, and will have some $200 heli quirks.
My 300X other than I tail servo going out, has been problem free, and was my little guy until the 130X came along.
My 450X.... what can I say. It is just a bad ass RC Helicopter that has never given me any problems what so ever.
Anyways..... Here is a pic of the Fam.

Picked up a Blade SR I found in a local ad.

I have read up on the SR, so I know what it is, and not real high on the recommendation list for first CP.
However It was a great deal, local.... What the hell, its a CP
WoW what a difference from the 120 SR and the MSR that I have been flying over the last year.
I did not even put bats in the Tx that came with it, I found some DX6i settings for the SR, and plugged them in. Cool thing is, that I have a better understanding about the radio and what all (some) of those settings do now. If not for throttle hold, you could very easy get by with Acro mode for the 120 SR and MSR.

So far I am very happy that I picked up the SR for my first CP heli. For the price of a sim, I am getting some real world, hands on knowledge of CP helicopters.

Already looking at adding a 450 to the fleet. Oh ya.... I am bitten.

Had to stop and rescue my spotter.

Was fighting some good Florida wind gusts. 7-10 mph.

Oh ya. Moving up. Getting into this hobby, I decided that I wanted to go from the ground up. (pun intended) Started with a Stock TX with the blade FP line up, moved up to a HP6DSM... And now a DX6i. RC Helicopters Rock! Looking forward to learning some cool stuff with this Radio.

Figured out 2 things with this repair. #1 if I want to blog about repairs like this, I need a better camera. #2 I did have a crack in the main, (Ref Fail Pic) and replacing it eliminated a shake the 120 developed. I was surprised how easy it was to replace the main shaft, I just had to pay attention to how I took it apart. My pre flight tip: Make sure the swash plate is in the anti rotation, caught myself.
