My Crash Damaged Nieuport XII Build, Thanks Hobby King for precrash testing my plane!
So I stripped off the monocoat to see how bad it really was and, well its not the worst damage I've had to repair, it sucks when its a "brand new" plane that was crushed during shipping... Either way, they kind of did me a favor by causing me to tear into her earlier than later.
The way I see it, I can only improve from here on out

Hobby King Shipping Damage Fiasco...
I posted this here and I'm not trying to ruffle feathers, but I have been buying from Hobby King (HK) for about a year now and this Christmas gift issue is beyond me and I am asking for help and/or advise from my fellow aero modelers...
Long story short, I purchased a Balsa Neuport (800mm) as a gift for my son, who also flys...
I did the usual paypal transaction and waited patiently for the plane coming from the "USA Warehouse".
The Box arrived (Dec 23rd) and I knew we had an issue, so much so I grabbed my camera before I even grabbed the scissors, never a good sign
I opened the box and I discovered the fuselage was crushed during shipping... No Merry Christmas aparently....
I calmly wrote the Customer Service folks at HK and the chain of emails back and forth I am simply trying to ask for:
A) A replacement Fuselage or,
B) A credit for the purchase Price to buy a replacement fuse (if available) or,
C) A return Authorization form with a shipping label to return the kit and when received and replacement plane to replace it...
All HK wants to do is give me a "$5.00" credit for the damage?! I'm at my witts end and I need some help... Below is the email chain...

Maiden Flight of the Tribute 36
Here is a short entry, a video of the maiden flight... She was a bit under propped with the 12 x 6, but a 13 x 8 should wake her right up!

I picked up this Hangar 9 "Tribute 36" 3D ARF at the LHS for $30 closeout... Not to shabby...
It was designed for gas, so I upgraded her to electric
I got he layout from another guy here on RCGroups, "randynsaudi"... He posted some real helpful tips on the layout and power plant suggestions.
So, per his advise I came up with this layout...

13 x 8 APC
(2) 4S 1300mAh 90C Nanotecs
(4) HiTec Digital MG/HS Sevos
JR RX w/ satellite
CG 4.5" LE
64oz. AUW (4 lbs. on the nose)
The local "Fun Fly" is this weekend, so I'll maiden her then... Should be fun...
