This is the plane to get if you want to roll faster than your makita drill. I like the size of the thing. It is very light and suprizingly durable. All up a good investment for anyone wanting to get into 3D or take their game to a new level.

Only managed to get 13!! flights in before one of the motors crapped out. Tried some v959's, but they lacked power. Checked where I purchased the Alias, and noticed they had some "Black Devil" motors in stock. A guy called Benedict Haak confirmed his company Micro Motor Warehouse made these motors. So I changed out the 959's with the plug'n'play "Black Devils" and now feel the dark side of the force

2014 all about the Crack

RC Factory/ Twisted Hobbys products take a beating better than most. They are easy to fix and cheap. Most of my retailers sell their stuff, so it's a good choice for my crummy flying

Finally getting the hang of hovering:

Most of my flying is indoors, due to the cold/dark/windy weather outside

I have also managed to *upgrade* my first TelinK Toro 900 with a 3S battery configuration. It's alot quicker now, but much less floaty (have the 2S version for that)

Nighthawk74 the last 4 years

I have had a ball in the last 4 years. Started out trying a co-axial heli, and from there on, I was sold. The co-ax flew over my house roof never to be seen again, but I stuck to it. Later progressed through the UM Blade helis and UM planes, from Horizon. Now I like Wings and 3D Foamies. Every now and then I go back and have fun with the UMs, but mostly fly the bigger stuff now.

The HeeBeeGeeBees

This bird is a firecracker. Certainly not for the noob, or the 2nd plane even.
It does have AS3X, which makes it less responsive to wind.

This is my 2nd Toro 900. The first one had a faulty orange rx, that kept swapping the servoes around. I Have strenghened it and will keep it for later, when I want to use a 3s version

The 2nd one weighs in at 374g AUW and runs on a Desire Power 1800mAh 2s Lipo. It carries an 808#16 keychain camera:

Zeta Wing Wing Z-84

I have had this kit lying around in the basement for ages. Decided on putting it together last week. It's an easy build, anyone could do it, but just to clarify, it's an intermediate/advanced flier.
My setup is similar to the Assassin wings: CF2812, 25-30a ESC, 2x9g, orange rx, 1.3 nano. Swinging a 5043 Champ prop! It flies about as fast as the mini Stryker with this setup. In the future I may upgrade to a more powerful motor and an APC prop.
Heres a short clip :

Crack Wing

This little firecracker is great fun. If you want unlimited vertical, hovering, slow n' fast, rippin' up the skies, combat or plain fun. This can do it all. Easy and affordable. This is an excellent first wing, or if you want a wing with 3D capabilities.

Started building my Extra Slick by Twisted Hobbys today.

Hyperion -1709 9-Turn 1500-Kv motor
Jeti Eco 08 micro ESC
APC - slow fly 8.0 x 3.8 prop
2x D47 diamond servos
1 x Tower pro 9g servo
Orange RX
Desire Power 2S 360mAh 35C battery

First step was to glue the 2 wings onto the fuse. I chose to use Uhu-Por, as they don't recommend CA for this, and living in EU we don't have shoe-goop, welders, or foam-tac

*28th April 2013 update*
Glued in the spar yesterday. Applied glue on both sides of the spar, before inserting it in the pre cut slot. Glued on the elevator part of the tail. Today. Soldered the wires on the micro ESC. Soldered bullets onto the motor. Centered servos. Noticed the pre-installed servo arms on both my D47 Diamond servos, were off center

*1st May 2013 update*
Glued in all 3 servos. The front one needed a balsa servo-extender glued on. CAed it, and looks like it will hold. Glued the bottom fuse on, using Uhu.

Glued most of the EPP parts on...still need the fuse trusses, but a servo arm is in the way. When the glue dries, I will have to cut-out room for the arm.

*11th May 2013*
Pushrods, servo arms and motor Mount are all installed. This build should be done tomorrow
