Champ looking good after 40 flights (Aprox)
|RTF Champ ROG In The WIND First Time Ever.wmv (1 min 34 sec)|
This 3 to 6 mph wind was more than I wanted today. I found victory early and yield to conditions beyond my skill. Looking for calm tonight I hope. Man I love this plane
|Firebird Commander II The movie.wmv (1 min 58 sec)|
Not a good plane for the beginer in my opinion and I'm new.

Hope I can shoot some serious landing practice this evening or maybe in the AM wind wind go away its friggin summer
This plane is AMAZING after ten minutes of flying rectangles left and right (not all were perfect) did two loops and total of 20 landings with no gear and even got the flair down about inches AGL. All landings were with in 5 feet of me and only aborted three (Lil gust of wind) No Crashes and went through two batteries. First battery probably is damaged. I noticed a slight loss of climb and tried one more loop. then the plane went to soft cut off at three volts. so battery two goes in and I set my timer on my I phone went 10 minutes of more precision flying and parked it. my guess a total of 35 flights and a fantastic experience
its not here yet but should be here today. will update later.
After A lucky save yesterday, I put a drop of CA (super glue) under each side of the tape that wouldn't stick on the elverons reinforced with some Nylon filled strapping tape and tada Shes ready for round 6. I also use a rubber band to stop the battery from ejecting on those Anti Crash Technology induced cartwheels and death spirals Man is this an awsome Plane. It comes as an RTF but by the time you master it you have re-built it from scratch its kinda like a on the job learn to build wile you fly.
Got my Beat up FC 2 up for aprox 11 min sevral laps and two eights the a nice approach and landing within ten feet. Then a quick check all looked good and launch for the second time. Hold on near disaster No right stick to speak of and all left from past issues with this tempermental aircraft i hold full throttel to get some hieght, then hold full right with the trim as well cut the power and hope for the best. six circules later I got her down with a nice belly in on the parking lot (ACT OFF at all times) no new dammage
Hope i can get her to fly this year
