The LORD is GOOD!!! On January 24th, I got a new job managing a new store in a small town about a half hour away from where I live....population of a little less than 3,000.
When I was let go back in December, I tried to find anything I could do....other than sales....even though that is all I know and have known since I got out of the military 20+ years ago...I am now 44. I know this was 100% the Lords work because had I been let go a month or before...this opportunity for this new store was not even a consideration and I probably would have taken just anything and then not been available for my current job when it came available. Had I been let go a month later - the position for this new store would have been filled...the timing was perfect. I am doing basically what I was before so the Lord kept me in the field I know best...sales, and I still sell the same product and service I did before so my knowledge will greatly enhance my position at my new job.
I just cannot help thinking how good the Lord is! I say this because for the past two years working at my previous employer, every time my boss called (his office was three hours away from mine) to say he was coming down to visit (which was about every other month or so...if that)...I would ask if he is giving me my pink slip. That is how stressful it had been for the past two years...constantly worried if I was going to be let go or not when he visited. I still did very well in sales - for what I had to...Continue Reading

Yesterday, December 12th 2011...after 11 1/2 years of working for Verizon Wireless, I was let go due to not being able to hit my quotas. I almost threw in the towel and left this hobby because I was ashamed of my circumstances as it was...then to be humiliated on top of it like that was almost my breaking point. I thank God I did not give up because RC helis and planes has been a true blessing for me. I have met great and inspirational people, I have been able to bond more with my daughter because she loves this hobby as much as I do. Anyone reading this, I want you to know I am not asking for anything but your prayers for me and my family that I will be able to find a job that brings me peace finally and where I can do the Lords Will more.
These past several years, I have been extremely stressed at my job and this termination has been long time coming I suppose...I wish there were other doors within the company that would have opened for me since I was a tenored, trustworthy, honest and ethical employee..but what can one say...they are part of the corporate world, looking out for the all mighty bottom line. They will certainly be able to fill my position with someone new for half the price...or more than likely, as I believe, will not fill my position and distribute my territory to others to save that...Continue Reading
