The Tennessee Trio on the Upper Copper with Rainbow King Lodge (3 min 30 sec)

it was a fun shoot almost 2 years ago now..... but we had enough footage to keep churning out content. The aerial clips are decent...

it was raining the entire time and i just decided to fly in the rain.

Flew probably 15 batteries in the wind and rain..... my Y-6 held up fine, i had a small plastic cover of the WKM and electronics .... the motors were definitely exposed.

cant say enough about those sunnysky motors!

5 months ago I helped my uncle get into flying multirotors from 0 RC experience. His goal (like many) was to get a camera in the air!

So i have been asked a couple times and I have seen multiple people ask for one from others. Since being on the road and flying in nature rather than my home flying field or front yard I have realized the importance of a preflight. I am flying more and more over water which i am a chicken about and I am prepared for a failure and the rig going down, but i would rather that not happen. So this is how I try and minimize the risk to my rig and my own safety

here is my Preflight Checklist for my particular rig, it might be of use to others.... (maybe)

Quote:
AP XL Y6 Preflight Check List
Check All Prior to Flight:
 6 Prop Adapter Nuts
 6 Props for chips, dings, balancing tape, white lines or any signs of weakness
 All screws on the motor mounts including the 4 screws in the motor
 Front Arm Folding Screws
 Mounting screws for AG-550n Gimbal
 Set Screws on pulley (Tilt and Roll)
 Servo Wires for Gimbal Servos
 Debris in motor Cans
 Voltage on Flight Pack and FPV Pack
 Inverted V FPV antenna SMA connections
 Satellite wires from Rx
 Turn on Tx (check voltage)
 Check Tx Switches (Gear 0, flaps 2, F Mode 1, D/R 0, Throttle 0% )
 Plugin Flight Pack (Check voltage again)
 Wait for no Red Flashes and Green Flash
 Plugin FPV pack
 Power on GS
 Test flight in manual mode, aggressive maneuvers, ATTI flight, GPS PH and RTL
 FLY
