Testing out the iosd mini with the Zenmuse
This one cost $6 and about an hour of cutting and some foam from the trash at work.
It holds my Phantom with Zenmuse and fpv tx in the middle.
2 sets of spare props
4 extra batts
8in fpv LCD + sunshade
It also has some foam on the lid to hold stuff in place.
I only have 7 packs through this and I find myself not wanting to do anything to crazy. With the cost of everything I feel like I'm learning to fly all over again with butterflies.
I love this setup though, straight out of the box except to hook up the Zenmuse gimbal and calibrate everything and no prop balancing it flies really smooth.
I am really impressed. I pulled all the stuff out of the boxes and hooked it all up, updated everything , and calibrated and wow so smooth.
I tried the RCTimer gimbal and compared to this is night and day. It was pretty windy today and I think it did great, better than expected. I think flying in Med view and tilting the gopro down a few more degrees will get rid of the props.
I picked up a Phantom, Zenmuse ,600mw Fatshark, and a 8in lcd. I'll maiden it today !
I bought this for my tricopter but it might make a sweet Gopro Hero glidecam.
This is straight out of the box with default settings.
It's like a mini MoVi.
My friend read in a forum that some of the Rovan's are missing a transmission bearing. He checked his Rovan SC and he was , then I checked my buggy and mine was too.
I tried using the Gopro Hero3 Black on my headmount. The footage is really crappy because I zoomed it in about 500%.
My surfer worked great after I snapped on of his legs. A stainless steel rod and 5 min epoxy did the trick.
I tried my Gopro Hero3 Black on my RC Surfer and it worked pretty good , but it had a harder time self righting.
My Exo Terra only lasted 5 minutes then I broke a front shock tower. My Mini E-revo and my friends Exo made it the whole day.
We went down to Newport for a quick session, The conditions weren't great but got two battery pack in. My wife did a great job trying to film with a P&S cam since my camcorder died this morning.
