The editors of Popular Mechanics in 1934 knew a lot about the Farman .1000. Look at the detail! Surely a model builder out there can help me get more photos of the fuselage - in particular those external radiators.

Well, here it is June 4 and I took a 180 degree turn to a parallel project. The Farman F.1000 was supposed to be a high altitude research project and the first flight was in 1932. Here's a shot of my work so far using TurboCAD over a nice 3-view that I found on the Small Flying Arts website.

Well I really got myself into something this time! I've been doing research and found a scale old timer that no one has done. The deeper I get the more I realize that there's gold in them thar Aeronca hills.

So, I found a company that converted Ronnie Martin's plan to AutoCAD.
The most fun is finding that the Aeronca Tandem/L-3 Defender has many full size subjects out there. Check out the attached war bird.

That's all for tonight. Back to the digital drawing board tomorrow.
