I have always loved pylon racers, so much in fact my first RC kit was a Sig Mustang 450 F1 Racer... Back in , oh about 1976.... Built with a HP .40 Rear Rotor, nitro engine it was going to be hot..... Needless to say I was never able to fly it, as it was too much plane for me. Time have changed and I may be ready for this new one soon.

It's an E-Flite LR-1A Pogo 15e, which I'm going to build up with a Power 25 motor and 60 Amp ESC. I'm very much looking forward to this build, however will be taking my time with it, as this was more a back burner plan

Here are some pictures of the unboxing..

So I was having a bit of problems with my Ultra Micro P-51. It was nose diving on hand launch, unless I gave it lots of up elevator. And it would not loop. I moved the elevator control arm to the 2ND furthest hole on the arm and it seems to have helped. The P-51 will fly level now, although the amount of up elevator (at neutral), comical.

I also picked up a Sukhoi SU-26xp. I tell you, these Parkzone micros are like crack cocaine! I just can;t get enough of them! I haven't flown it yet but hope to soon. I put some decals on mine for fun as my buddy and I bought them at the same time, and I just want to distinguish mine a bit :-)

I have set up the dual rates and expo as suggested, and I'm lookign forward to learning more with this!

I took the PZ BL-P-51 out for it's second flying session this evening. It was awesome to get it out at this flying field with less obstructions and distractions. I only had to be mindful of the power lines behind me, and the people playing lacrosse at the end of the field. Other than that it was perfect. Nice grass surface soft grass to land on. Speaking of landing, I never realized how nice this P-51 lands with power off. It just glides in as if it were a high wing trainer. Sweet!

I really get a kick out of how smooth this plane flies in the air, esp when flown closer to the ground for the perspective of speed is more apparent. Over all this plane is one nice unit, and money well spent. How did I get on the path of Helicopters...? While fulfilling, the learning curve is so much steeper, and the parts count is endless Still I keep at that too

I also took the Champ out for a fly for it's been a while since I took this puppy out. This thing puts a smile on my face every time I fly it! It's so care free, and basically flies itself. I was enjoying just flying low speed tight circles around me as if it was a big mosquito LOL All in all a great evening of flying!

I picked up a PZ Micro P-51 on the weekend to fly at the park at the end of my street. Unfortunately it has some problems out of the box, and does not seem to fly right with out a lot of up elev trim, and constant up stick input.... Right out of the box it's maiden flight it nose dived into...Continue Reading

It's been a while since I've been here. Work and home life has kept me busy, but I had been waiting for the right time to go maiden flight my PZ P-51. My buddy picked up a PZ Messerschmidt and was calling me up to go fly, so it seemed like the right think to finally do :-)

It was about 8:30 in the evening, with low winds. We went to a park near his house, which I had not seen, however he said it was large enough to fly. When I got there I was apprehensive of all the light posts and soccer goal frames, but it seem it work out well.. For me....

I was first up... Let me say this P-51 was awesome! One quick hand launch and it was up in the air flying quick, smooth and stable. It required no trimming as it just flew where I wanted it, and was totally confidence inspiring. Everything everyone has said about the flight characteristics of this plane is true, it is simply awesome! Thanks everyone!

My buddy then took his Messerschmidt up, and it was a quick flight as it plummeted to the ground, no damage, but the trims and CG had to be adjusted slightly. After some adjustment we hand launched it and it was up and away. He did a few loops, and things were looking good, but some of the light poles and people around started to spook him. He lost orientation and the plane nose dived into the ground It broke my heart to see this beautiful plane on the ground in pieces.

I took the P-51 for one more flight before we lost light, and it was flying fine. Things...Continue Reading
