Reconsidered the previous setup. Now a medicine container holds the battery and switch with a clear patch covering the deck opening (only opened to access servos).

Now powering on or charging only involves the screw of a lid. Of course now that the cuts have been made I've realized a few different/better ways of going about easy access, but this will work fine.
