Allright I scored a Hobby King "Gumby" at one of my clubs christmas party last night. It came ready to go with 2 lipos, all I needed to do was add a reciver. Got up this morning and put her together. Sounds like it will be a really SLOW flyer. I'll maiden it when the weather clears up.

Good thing winter is here, it seemes like everything I own needs some sort of work on it. I guess it was a fun summer... Anyways with the Holidays here, things will slow down in the shop a bit. I will work on my stuff right after X-mass, so I can be ready for next season. As I reflect on this past year, it was a awsome year. I can only hope next year will be as fun....don't see why not...I hope you all have a great holiday season, enjoy your family, and friends. be safe when driving, beware of the other drivers around you, as this time of year there is a lot of drunk drivers. God Bless, and Merry Christmas.

Well okay we maidened the jets and after a few mods we got them to fly and drop. The mini Stryker had a prob, as the horn turned and the pushrod sliped up and as a result the Stryker went down. The repair has been made and we are ready to have another go at it. Here is a video of the maiden.

Cermark 39" Edge 540 review for RCGroups (3 min 42 sec)
Well just a quick update on the 39" mini me Cermark Edge 540t. When I first tried to fly it I had a G-10 in it and it blew out the front of the plane at take off. So after a new motor,ESC and mounting system it is ready for another go at it.
I now have a 2200kv 35amp esc with a 9" apc prop. I spooled it up and it will hang at half throttel. should be a blast to fly...

Well I got the engine issues worked out on this plane and it time for some fun. I only have 3 flights on it, and I never could get it to run right, now it should be a different story. Maybe one afternoon this week I can fly it. I can't wait

This past weekend I had the chance to fly at the Huckfest in Wa. All I can say is OFF THE HOOK.... To start with the field and club house are first class. I bet one of if not the nicest fields in the country. Air condition, Showers, covered viewing, obesveration deck the whole 9 yards.
I took my fomie stuff with me as well as a 2 meter glider. I was able to do the Drone Drop for everyone with the F-22, I also flew the combat event, had a blast..
I saw some of the best flying in my life. The pilots were world class and the same can be said for the show in general. I can't wait till next year I will do it again but I will take my Edge 540T. here are some pics enjoy....Continue Reading

Just a quick update: I made a mod to the F-22, my wife found some mini foam jet planes and picked me up a few. They sat on my bench for weekes and one morning BINGO it hit me..hook em up and drop them off the F-22. To make a long story short, it was a hit I took them to the field and everyone loved them. The kids had a blast chasing them down and everone else loved to watch them glide down. I added a mini servo hooked up to a switch with a home made "claw" to hold a eyelet on the mini. I got the Idea from the robot guys. works great I am taking it with me to the HuckFest in Wa. this weekend...

Well I had this old Aspire glider in the hanger for years, the time has come to get it in the air. I got this plane at a garage sale for 10 bucks, it was in preaty good shape but, I did recover it and changed it to a power glider as it was a slope plane. I cut the nose off and gutted the inside to start. then I added a fire wall and a blue wonder motor with a 25 amp esc running a 1500 3 cell as well as a 8x4 folding prop. I put the micro servos in the rear and redid the pushrods.
Took it out today for her maiden and what a wild ride it was. It took all the skill I had to get her down and home safe. first off I had the rudder on the rudder channel on the radio, I had to change it to the aliron channel it worked much better. the trim had to be reset on the elevader because it wanted to pull up the whole time, with the trim all the way up, so I reset it and it is fine now. Also I had to make a canopy for it, I used a Dr. Pepper bottle to do the job. All I can say is what a great flying bird, If I would have known that before, I would have done it much sooner. I can't wait to go gliding at the field with the guys.

Well the time has come for me to get out of the heat. I'm off to Alaska in the morning, 10 days of nature and fishing. (might even have a beer or two). I don't have room for any aircraft but, I was able to load my simulator.. The wife doesn't know yet. guess she will find out soon enough. (she said "no airplanes on the trip.") I have a couple of projects to work on as soon as I get back.
1. P-51 Mustang with a .45 nitro- stay tuned.
2 a 40 size Cherakee- stay tuned.
both will be fun to get going and fly, and I do plan on attending the Huck Fest in Washington as well.
untill then have fun and fly safe.

Just a quick note: I went with a good friend Bill to help another gentelman fly his DC-10 a few weeks ago. I wanted to make note of it. The bird had twin 180's turnning 8200rpm. The owner's name is also Bill and he is about 95 years young. He wanted to fly this thing before he died. So we gave it a shot. My buddy and I hauled it to the field and set it up for him, time came and he wanted me to fly it and I said "Nope It's all yours" I handed him his raideo and gave him a quick nod and smile and told him he was all set. We did not taxi it for take off, instead we gave it full throdle and I held the tial, then let her go... off it goes banking right the pilot pulled it left and tried to turn her into the wind, but did not make it. (Full throdle into the ground) from about 50 feet or so. All I can say is he tried.
