i have another giant scale b-17 that has been added to the collection. this time its a American eagle. it needs some work and i need to replace the cowls after i change the engine position and put better turrets on her and paint it. but for 2,000 i cant complain. so the hanger is loaded, west craft 1/10th b-17g, American eagle 1/10th b-17g and wingspan models 1/6th b-17d.

Before we get started I know the Memphis belle was a f model

When I heard the when our 86 year old member was selling his 1/10th scale b17 I had to jump on it. He had built the plane 15 years ago from what I heard from him as a west craft with a fiberglass fuselage with foam core wings. .

It has os 46 for power but I feel it maybe under powered for this plane it weighs in at 55lbs and has a 10ft wingspan . This plane has never left the ground under power. It has century jet retracts working Bombay doors with a large bomb bay. And working crew hatches and windows.

Tho it has scale flaws such as the tail being to large and the cowls being to big I'm happy to ad this large b17 to my fleet
