I always wanted a 'hotliner' type model, so I purchased a Toko from Craig here in South Africa
Craig's bog: http://cloudbase-composites.blogspot.com/

Jim's Toko (3 min 14 sec)

I was having a bit of trouble with flying orientation, so I ironed on some white vinyl which helped a bunch,
but the vinyl came loose and tangled up in the elevator, and down she went out of sight......

4-Sep-2011 "The flying at the Slipper today was great, except that "Flying Beagle" lost his Toko due to some vinyl coming loose off the wing and ending up on the tail. His Toko came down in an area that is really thick with natural growth, so we were not able to find it in the time we had left...." Rigwell

8-Sep-2011 "Hi guys, I also thought that it went down on the other side of the poles. But maybe it was this side of the poles, because when I last saw the Toko it was flying slightly nose down and flying down wind. From where we were standing it is difficult to say which side of the poles it went down. I would look this side of the poles. I can help on Saturday what time ??" The Baron

10-Sep-2011 "Toko found!!! thanks everyone for your well wishes...and a special shout out to the other searchers; Andrew, Daron, Johann and Sean for dragging themselves up and down that mountain of fynbos" Flying...Continue Reading

after loosing my F2G Corsair to a failed aileron servo, I needed something to replace it quick,
so I found a used Ryan Bearcat for sale on rcgroups all ready to fly

PS: cant find the photos at the moment, but I pulled the original warbird colors off
and did a "copy" of Keith Shaw's Bearcat in the "Bird" scheme

I finished my Groove during the winter and enjoyed many flights…But late in June, pilot error found its way into my Tx with disastrous results…Then I was reading the thread on Bill’s SA Edge540 and a tiny lite bulb came on…
Since I have to totally rebuild the fuselage with the wing saddle and the wing is almost split in half…..Maybe I can rebuild her and do something EXTRA !
