Just ordered a Parkzone Ultra Micro Corsair tonight off of ebay. Haven't ever owned an electric plane before, besides a firebird commander that I got and threw away because the thing got all screwed up. I am excited to get it and have some fun.

Well I guess it is about time to post in my blog. I love model airplanes. I have been interested ever since I was 8yrs old and I saw my uncle's plane in my grandparents basement all the time as it sat there for years.
I got my first plane I was 10. My dad took me out to our local rc flying field for a open house and when I saw the first plane go up I knew I was going to be hooked. Later that day we were looking at all the planes for sale and there was a used Tower Trainer 40 sitting there with a motor and servos for a hundred dollars and when my dad said "We'll take it" I cannot describe how high my excitment level was that day.
It was a couple weeks later when we got a radio and got everything hooked up. My uncle took my plane up for a test flight I was so excited to see MY plane fly. We went out to the club the next meeting and the club instructor hooked me up to the buddy box and took the plane up and took a loop and fliped the switch and said "you got it" that is the first time I felt the rush.
Well the club meetings never really worked with my dad's work schedule, so we never became members, but insted got a Realflight simulator. I practiced on that simulator for hours on end and taxied the plane around in the yard frequently. So after all that sim time I had my first solo flight and everything went good.
