Last night ; 7/18/12 , I had my introductory flight with the EAA Young Eagles organization. My Pilot was named Mr. Abel, it turns out him and his brother both flew R/C too! We all had dinner at a restaurant on the airport that was called, "The Beacon" . When you first walk into the Beacon, there's a Top Flite F4U Corsair model hanging from the ceiling, it's pretty cool! Most of the pilot's at the meeting flew R/C also! One man presented about an RV10 that he built, and brought. My flight was in a Cessna 150F. Once we were off the ground, I took the controls and flew the whole flight. Flying in such a small plane is amazing! Afterwards, I flew a short R/C Demo with my 3DHS 33" EPP Extra, and then we stopped by Mr. Abel and his brother's hangar (they live in it ) . They had seven airplanes, and a 1966 Mustang in there that I got to drive! This monday, they're heading up to Oshkosh, and hopefully if they can buy a biplane in time, they will be racing at Reno! Enough for my talking, enjoy the pictures . In summary, the EAA Young Eagles is a great program, and everyone should give it a try!...Continue Reading

Went down to Austin R/C Association this weekend on the 14th for a nice little goodbye event for Bonedoc. Had a great time as usual at ARCA, and Eddie's Hawaiian chicken is amazing ! Thanks to Mr. Gordon for bringing me some EPP Planes to fly! Flew the 48" EPP A lot and I think I will be selling my 42" Slick to get one! Also, big thanks to Eddie for letting me fly his 119" Extra powered by a DA120! Had a great time flying it, and I admit, bigger does fly better ! Also, when it came time for my family to leave, we saw a car wreck (car had flipped and hit a tree) outside ARCA. Josh ran right out there and helped EMS bandaging people up, and left his own event! That, is what heroes are made of! In summary, I had a great time at the event, and cannot wait for Hucktoberfest so I can come down to Austin again. ...Continue Reading
