Here's a short video of my first FPV experience. I found it very natural and intuitive, it wasn't as difficult because I had flown the area many times before with a small camera and watched the footage over and over so I new the area well.
I had a strong head wind and almost came up short but there was no damage. I was using an immersion 40 milliwatt 2.4 Ghz video transmitter that I got from readymaderc.com and a 72 mhz RC I flew at least 2-3,000 ft away and the plane couldn't be seen easily with the naked eye. I ran out of battery and barely made the runway over the trees. I need to place the antenna better for better reception, but I just kind of taped it all on quickly and threw it together in a rush. Also, I'm limited by the weight carrying capacity of my little parkflyer Decathalon.
