Man! I am beating the crap out of my SR and CX2! more so the CX2. It just won't perform like the SR so I push it a little more then a blade strike or something happens! I think I need to stick with FP and CCCP helis. This coaxil crap is nice for no thinking hovering and puttin around. Or maybe a double bell setup? hmmmmmm.!
Well I finally got my DX7 and programmed it to my SR via suggestions from the SR Thread. Thanks guys! Today I am going out and trying it for the first time with a new TX and no landing gear. Wish me luck!
Well I went back to go over my SR while I wait for my new TX. I got all done and really just wanted to spool it up. I replaced my batteries in the TX and it worked! ha ha! It was cold out that day and I wonder if it just killed those batteries!? ha ha! oh well, I think in the back of my head I didn't really try to fix it because I want/needed a new TX anyhow..oh well shes ready anyhow!
I just paid for a DX7! Hope to get it soon so I can fly! man RCG is awesome! my buddy doesn't "do the internet". I can see the envy in his eyes when I tell him all the help I get here while he has to go to the LHS and wait for a knowledgable person to help diagnose his problem. Now he is always asking me to help figure it out on this site! ha ha! he'll figure it out sooner or later.....well of to search for settings for my new DX7 for all my helis!
So I was out in my garage cleaning up from this last weekends Christmas decorating and decided to fix the little vibration on my SR. As I was setting up I foolishly knocked over my TX! It's the stock version and I've only flown with this one....BAM! all the wonderful flights and scary crashes FLASHED before my EYES! the antenna broke! I thought that was all. NO power! I made sure the batteries were in and nothing! Crap now I have to buy a new TX! I have been planning to buy one and have saved a few bucks but being laid off for a while puts a cramp in your wallet. We'll see what we can find on RCG! Oh man and I accidently did a loop the other day! Holy crap it was awesome!
After what seems months I had a minute to myself to go outside on a calm morning and Fly! I have been trying not to let this helicopter Hobby intrude into my home life. I have been able to practice with my mSR just about everynight after the kids are in bed. I flew that first this morning to get my mind set. Two Lipos later and I was ready. I grabbed my SR and did my prefight checks and spooled up. There I was in the empty cul-de-sac with the SR. just sittin there in hover about eight feet off the ground.....WOW! What a great feeling. I had the jitters for a few minutes. A little over correction here and there and away went the jitters. I was hovering with out any problems! I sat her down and made a few minor trim adjustments and took off again. NOt a crash, not even close! a nice hover andcyclic movements around in front of me and off to the side. I used to be scared of this SR. Now I know I have a lot more knowledge and experience and am looking forward to more flights with her.
So after a new tail boom setup I discoved when binded to a dx6 the mSR kicks more ass! fast piros and faster response! I have been flying everynite since I got this thing and have become adventerous with going faster! oh fun another tool to make it perform...to master and to use as my training for the SR. I get more excited each Lipo I go through!
So I got the blade mSR. wow! what a great way to fly! it handles wonderfully! the tail rotor is going out I think due to the slow piroettes. I am a lot more comfortable with this little guy in my living room! Not that I ever had that SR in here! I am super excited to master this and move into my SR! should have started here. Oh well..now I am!
I just got this SR! I got a great deal. I was looking at the mSr but found this and heard It can be "dumbed down" till I learn. I have only flown a three channel and wanted to upgrade to a four and ended up with a six! yikes! maybe shes too much for me! DDoes anyone in the SE Portland area feel like giving a new pilot some tips or hands on help? I would like to watch some experienced pilots. Is there any fun flys comin up anyone know of?
