I only have under 20 flights on it, so I am not ready to comment on how its flight characteristics, since I have only just dialed in everything, but here is my setup:

Its a gas version airframe, using the following components:

E-Flite Power 160 (10s)
FighterCat 240amp ESC (overkill, an expensive ESC used for large EDF's or in boats)
Castle BEC Pro
Xoar 20x10 and 21x10 Electric Props
5 - HiTec 7955TG Digital Servos
3D length SeaCraft Servo Arms
Upgraded carbon fiber landing gear from Graph Tech

This set up flys great and all components come down warm to the touch in hot weather.

It seems like the SFG's completely remove wing rock in stalled maneuvers, but in other type of flight, I have not seen a difference at this point.

I am going back and forth on my prop size (Xoar PJN 20x10 and 21x10) and have not settled in yet on my choice.

On the 20x10 my5s 4000mah 40c Zippy's provide easy 6.5 min flight times, and I also have 2 - 5s 5000mah 30c Zippy's that can provide over 7 minutes.

It does not seem to be weight sensitive.

Update: November 2013 after 40-50 flights. I am using the 21x10 Xoar and prefer not using the SFG's. The key to good stalled flight characteristics seems to be a deeper angle of attack than my smaller airframes. I also like the larger mah batteries for flight times. Just beginning to really enjoy it, and now winter is here....

Here is a video of Kyle, one of the flyers from our weekend gathering, "Floparpy Invitational," in the Port Orchard area. Enjoy!

3DHS 59in Slick (my best 3Der - harrier-hover monster with wild tumbles ... this airframe can fly some pretty good straight lines for a Slick as well)

Flight Model 57in Extra (very similar to the 3DHS version with some minor structual differences - purchased it when 3DHS was out of stock for an extended period of time)

Extreme Flight 48in Extra with lights. Fly's beautiful lines and great snaps! Not a 3D monster, but does it well. I think it helps you combine your 3D with better lines.

I would like to consider an Extreme Flight 78in MXS in the new R/W/B scheme in the future, and/or a 3DHS 48in Edge (owned 2 previously - great small floaty airframe), or an Extreme Flight 78in Extra sometime in the future.

At the end of the summer last year, feeling in the groove (and with the wife watching), I got alittle stupid with my 60" Extreme Flight Extra, and really wacked it.

I walked away from that experience and did not fly the rest of a great indian summer last year.

This winter, I got looking at it, and after watching an instructional video on how to replace the motor box, I went for it.

I repaired the fuse and one SFG, replaced the motor box, replaced a damaged wing, canopy, cowl and prop.

The remaiden was this weekend.... WOW, one click on the radio and it was like nothing happened!

This is my all-time favorite airframe to fly!

Now that I have about 50 some flights on my Extreme Flight 60in Extra, I must say its my favorite airframe out of all the past airframes I have owned. It combines speed, agility, wildness, flys nice lines and has great stall stability wrapped up all in one airframe.

To top this off, the shipping, build quality, airframe design and customer service has been the best that I have personally experienced from a airframe company.

My current set up is:

Motrofly 4315 - 714kv Motor
Castle Creation 100amp Ice Lite
Castle Creation 10amp BEC
Xoar 15x7 Prop (prefer it over the 15x8)
Hitec Digital 5245MG Servos
4s 4000mah 40C Zippy lipos (although my Gen Ace 25C seem to perform just as well)

I have no video, but here are some pics of my beloved plane attached.

Special thanks to Extreme Flight.... this is one satisfied customer that has "gone Extreme!"

I feel really blessed to have such a great airfield to fly at and such great friends and pilots - one of those pilots is Kody (Kody'd'Punk) where I got a chance to do some camera-video work of his flying. The video camera is owned by Flopgun, and he did put the video together. Enjoy....

Here is one of our better flyers we get to experience at our field up here in the great Northwest. I filmed this video of my friend Flopgun who both flew the plane and produced the video. Absolutely fantastic!

This is my new Blue 48" 3DHobbyShop Edge that replaced the untimely and strange wing failure of my Orange colored version.

This is a great go to warm up plane, and probably the most forgiving airframe out of all the 3DHS's offerings, allowing you to work on your 3D moves.

I have flown both the Xoar 14x7 and the 13x6.5, and prefer the latter on the 130gram Omega.

Got in 4 flights on my new 47" Velox V1. She rocks! High energy, violent, and yet flys great harriers and hovers nicely. Easiest plane to KE spin, and at the bottom, flat spin rotations are the highest I have ever flown. Best tumble I have seen as well.

I have a Motrofly DM2815 950kv with a Hacker 55amp ESC and a Xoar 13x6.5 prop, flying on 3s lipos.

Here are some pics....

I maidened my new 48" Edge this week.

Here is my set up:

Omega 130gram motor
Hacker 70amp ESC
Xoar 13x6.5 prop
HiTec HS65mg servos

4s 2200mah is a 5 minute flight, with peak amps at 55 and around 850 watts, motor is warm to cool to the touch after the flight. 3s 2650mah is a 6 minute flight, and I did not notice much difference in performance from the 4s lipos.

Pics of my new Flight Model 57" Extra's maiden today. Flys as good as my old 3DHS airframe, but I prefer purchasing and flying from 3DHS.

I am using a Motrofly 3620-750kv motor, Castle Creations 100amp Ice Lite ESC, CC 10amp BEC, HiTecs 225MG's, and a 5245 digi on the rudder, with 4s 4000mah lipos.

This is not a "copy" of 3DHS's airframe, as the fuse construction is different. They use more carbon fiber throughout the fuse. They also use two carbon pins to hold the wings in place, versus the one wooden pin 3DHS uses on their wings. I like the linkage hardware better with the Flight Model, but the pull-pull system of 3DHS's is better.

Their is another airframe that is exactly like the Flight Model, that is the Peak Model.

Please note that 3DHS's service is much better than Flight Models, as FM will not replace any damaged parts received in shipping.

Update - December 27, 2012: Converting all servos to Hitec 5245 digis for the upcoming season

With a few minor changes (battery move and motor shim), the 3rd flight on my 59" Slick we were down on the deck with low hovers. Nice plane and I know I will really enjoy it along with my 57" 330SC.

The set up is a Hacker A40-10s V2, Castle Lite 75amp ESC, a Xoar 15x8 Prop, with Hitec HS225MGs. I am using 4s 4000mah @ 30c.

Comparing the Slick to my 330SC, I think the Slick hovers better, but the 330SC has better harrier characteristics. The Slick spins out inverted from a knife edge spin and a blender better than the 330SC.

I do love both of these airframes.

One last note: My 57" 330SC with the Motrofly seems to have more power and getting alittle more flight time with it. However, there is a slight prop pitch difference between to the two. the 330SC has a Xoar 15x7, slightly less pitch. I will be trying the same prop on the Slick in the near future to see if there is any difference.

Update December 27th 2012: Sold her to a almost a year ago due to a prolonged time of unemployment to a friend, and the Hacker died about 1 year to the purchase date. He could not get any warranty support, so a Motrofly 3620-750kv is in her now, and she just came back to my hanger. She is converted over to all HiTec HS5245 digis and waiting for the good weather this spring to have her up in the skies again!

Yesterday I maidened my new 57" 3DHS 330SC and put about 8 flights on her. She flys fantastic! I went into low hovers on my 3rd flight, and she is a harrier monster with plently of get up and go! She is powered with a Motrofly 3620 750kv motor, Xoar 15x7 prop and a 4s 4000mah battery.

I thought my 3DHS 47" SHP was the easiest 3D plane to fly, but this bird is even better!

PlaneAdrenalinRC has just made another offering available for purchase:

Adrenalin Voodoo Reno Racer - Speed Trainer

This is a modified World Models P-51 Voodoo Mustang EP - a balsa covered 39.5 inch wingspan "entry level speed trainer" provides top speeds of 70-80 mph on a 3s 2200mah, and reaching close to triple digit speeds with only a change of a prop and the battery to 4s.

This is the perfect stable platform to enter the adrenalin rush of speed flying, starting with the 3s battery, and then when the pilot is comfortable, move up to the 4s performance.

This plane has retractable landing gear for paved runways, and is a great hand launch-belly lander for grass.

PLANEADRENALINRC 2011 SUMMER PRODUCT PREVIEW VIDEO!
We have been gathering footage and editing like crazy over the last 4-6 weeks that showcases our products for the summer.

ADRENALIN MINI MIDGET MUSTANG PYLON RACER
In this video you'll see the venerable Mini Midget Mustang flying on both 3 cell and the soon to be released 4 cell power system.

ADRENALIN NEMESIS 52 PYLON RACER
Our electrified Nemesis 52, Robert performing jaw-dropping ground level sweeps of this finely tuned machine.

ADRENALIN P-51 VOODOO RENO RACER SPEED TRAINER
The Voodoo is a great platform for first-time speed fliers, who can start with a 3 cell battery for moderate top speeds of 75-80 mph, then change out to a 4 cell battery and prop to acheive speeds just under 100 mph.

Special thanks to Sam for his assistance in capturing footage, and Larry for his crystal-clear still photos.

I also wanted to thank Don Shields and Jon Barnes who captured the striking images of our Mini Midget Mustang in action!

I hope you enjoy the video below. It is now available in 1080p HD, so crank up the sound and watch it in fullscreen!

Just a note on some of the new planes in the hanger so far for this season:

30cc Slipstream MXS 8s electric conversion - PlaneAdrenalinRC has created a high quality wood motor and esc/bec mounting box that screws right into the existing gas motor box, providing proper CG when placing the batteries on the tray where the fuel tank goes. Instead of using stand-offs and placing the batteries far up into the nose, the electric mount provides the proper center of mass, providing electric conversions with maximum performance the way the manufacturers designed their airframes.

3DHS SHP V3 - I owned a Yellow version one prior to this which I loved... however, the V3 is all it was and more. A even more stable flyer, and a harrier monster with NO wing rock, even in windy conditions... I love this new SHP!

Adrenalin Mini Midget Mustang Pylon Racer- Sales are going well on this modified World Models plane and is a blast to fly and is a real show stopper at the field! Soon to be released will be a 4 cell HET motor - Extreme Power set-up by PlaneAdrenalinRC, providing another 20-30 mph with good launch characteristics and under most sanctioned field's decibel level limits. Can you say 130 to 140 mph with the Extreme Power set-up?

Adrenalin P-51 Voodoo Reno Racer Speed Trainer - This bird is truly point and shoot, and I have really enjoyed flying this modified World Models plane. On 3 cell its acheiving 75-85 mph, and with the change of a prop and moving to a 4 cell battery...Continue Reading

Some of my close flyer friends modified a couple of World Models Mini Midget Mustangs this last summer with top speeds of 100+ mph, and we were having alot of fun with them, even flying them in formation and across the runway deck. They became our favorite planes to fly, and a real specticle for onlookers to watch.

Their flying characteristics are very stable, and yet provide a whole lot of speed and agility, especially for their size.

Being a marketer all my life, I thought it would be so cool to share this modified model outside of our local group, and so the idea of PlaneAdrenalinRC was born.

Our custom online RC Airplane shop was launched at the beginning of the month with our first offering, the Adrenalin Mini Midget Mustang Pylon Racer.

Even though it has been alot of work putting this all together, I have the satisfaction of knowing we are providing "big-time flying grins" for all those who buy one..... and where can you buy a ready-to-fly 100mph+ balsa model for under $200 and takes only a couple of hours to ready her for its maiden flight?

An official RCGroups review should be coming out on it shortly.

We plan on offering a modified HET Tucano as a "speed trainer" in April.

Check out the website and buy one, you wont regret it!

Waiting for the batteries for the 8s set up and designing a special electric motor mount that bolts to the gas motor box that will help CG out the gas conversion Slipstream MXS.

SNEAK PREVIEW: I have another build right behind it... see pics
