Still have to fix some fidling in the radio.. but so far lookin good step by step..

About eficiency.. it made 11kms with 1.450mAh in a no-thermal no-wind no-slope lift day in 20m ...seems quite reasonable

FPV Modelhob Escuela Ikarus OSD 2 (13 min 1 sec)

Well , the video is 1 month old but at least is working..

Thinks look good except for the catastrofic (and scary) loss of singal that can be noticed in the video (RSSI signal is top right corner.. you can see how it falls to 0 sometimes)..
We believe the problem is the receiver , an old FM Futaba R137F (i tought i was going to be good since its original futaba and even today is quite expensive) but conversations with guys who are into the FPV stuff revealed that old FM Futaba Rxs are not any good for FPV and are particulary bad if modded to get RSSI out like mine was ...

Well we replaced what we believe is the problem for a proven Corona RP8D1 wich is famous in FPV world and everyone agrees that is very reliable..

Lookin forward to next flights to see if thats fixed.. if not i can allways go to 2,4Ghz FrSky with those sweet Rx with PPM and RSSI signal allready out since i allready own a FlySky 9X radio..

So far numbers look good.. plane was carrying 2 batteries, one 1000mAh for FPV stuff (OSD, videoTx, GPS) and a 2200mAh for the motor/servos ... acording to the OSD it did 11km overall in half hour (plenty of gliding since the Escuela is really good at it) with what turned out to be 1250mAh .. plane compartments was designed to carry up to 2X2200 so range shouldnt be a problem.. actually its the video Tx what limits more now the range since the FPV system drains overall 1A so the 1000mAh batt means 1 hour maximun from switching on to safe in ground.. still in the rear compartment a 1600mAh fits so 1:30h should be easy and doubt flights will be that long
