I'm almost finished my latest design. It's a 52.8" span Pitts M12 that is scratch built from my plans. I still have to paint the gear, finish the dummy motor and wheel pants but she's real close now.

As for numbers it's looking like I'll have a 17 oz/sqft wing loading and a 115 W/lb power loading so she should fly well.

I'll post more pics when she's all finished.

Well, after a very long time spent covering and using almost 3.5 rolls of Monokote she is finished. The finished weight including a 4S 4100mah battery is 4.3 lbs which gives a 16 oz/sq ft wing loading and a 104 W/lb power loading. This motor puts out 5-5.5 lbs static thrust so she should perform very well. She ballances about 1/8" tailheavy so I'm going to move the rudder and elevator servos a couple inches forward. I hate adding ballast.

The new design is coming together nicely. I'm going to cover it this week so she should be all finished by the weekend. We've still got snow here so the maiden flight will have to wait for about a month since the field is pretty wet in the spring.

I'm really happy with how this one turned out and it looks like I'll be way below my 5lb goal. It's looking like she'll be under 4lbs ready to fly!

Here's a few photos of my latest work. It's a 60" span sport model I designed that should be nice and aerobatic. I'm powering it with a Turnigy 50-55A motor, 4100 4S lipo pack and either a 16x8 or 15x10 prop. I'll need to flight test each prop to see what will work best.

Just need to build the cowl and landing gear and she's ready for covering.
