flyflyhobby DG808S 4 METRE SCALE GLIDER
Well its been ordered and eta is 5-10 days time from this posting, shes a big ship-the biggest of the fleet, and it will keep me busy fitting out with radio-i shall post photos of this latest edition, not to far away
This model flies well, and l use a y-lead coupled with ailerons and rudder to make it turn better.Light as a feather-750 grams total with lipol 1300 mah 11.1 volt battery, used for thermal mainly but have used it on the slope and its a real joy-just add extra ballast-handles 15-20 knots no problem.Looks good in the air, after all it is made entirely of foam,so doesnt look as good as the flyflyhobby Dg 1000-2.6 metre on the ground.Wingspan is 2 metres.Have flown this model many times, and have had no problems with it.
Condor successsfully maidened-January 2011
Odd supplied tailplane-will be keeping it though, as the model has cost a fair sum of money to complete.
Wide wing and wing tip shot-eppler 205 flat bottom airfoil, strong wings-built up not foam core
fueslage & flaps showing-rigged to 70 degrees down-initially set to 90 degrees,but noticed strain on servos at 90 degrees,will leave at 70
canopy & wing close-up,canopy base is weak plastic mould, and l had a problem with that.Painted white to reflect hot sun baking it.
