Newly acquired GMP Cricket ready for restoration. I traded a RX ready Swizzle Stick for it. Can hardly wait to fly it, it should be fun.

Update: I got radio gear in it and am now ready to try it out. On the first spool up one tail grip had broken which was a major setback for me. I had no spares. To make a long story short, I robbed the tail grips from my night flyer, a Raptor 50 v2, and the grips work just great on the old hub and bearings. $6.50 repair. Yeah!!

After figuring out how to center and how much travel the tail rotor would need, I put an E-Flite EFLRG110HL gyro / Futaba s9253 in it from the scrap box. It took a little while to figure out how to set it up for HH mode. After fiddling with that for a few evenings I did get it outside to try to hover. It was dark outside and I only had moon light to help me see but it was a promising hover. The tail was solid. Now just waiting for lighter winds. Winds have been 20-30mph here recently.

This is a picture of the Foamie that I built for my friends birthday present. It was test flown today (1-10-10) and went to its new home today.
