So what happens when a Nighthawk has a head-on mid-air with a 3D foamy? The 3D foamy flies away, the Nighthawk disintegrates.

It didn't seem like that hard of a collision, but it looks like it's back to workbench for me.

I took up RC flying again in July of 2009 after being away for 25 years or so. Even back then I never got into it enough to get comfortable flying.

The advent of foam airplanes has made all the difference in the world. I bought one of E-Flite's ultra-micro Sukhois and proceeded to re-teach myself how to fly. This probably wasn't the best choice of airplanes for this, but I made it through it and got fairly competent with it. And most importantly I had a blast.

Then I happened upon RC Groups. Lots of great stuff going on here. I eventually wandered into the "Foamies (Scratchbuilt): forum and got hooked. Here are a few of the airplanes I've built in the last year. It is probably understating it a bit to say that I got hooked. My wife would claim I'm obsessed. I can live with that.

I do have a couple of the micro helis too, but haven't flown them much lately.
