Even frequency hopping systems are susceptible to 2.4ghz interference.
Although they are very resilient there is still a risk of losing rc control.
The ISM band:
Typical devices that use the 2.4ghz ISM band are portable phones, Wireless access points and broadband routers, Notebooks, cellular phones, Bluetooth devices, ground radar systems, microwave ovens, DECT phones, SRD, baby monitors, video expanders, patient monitoring devices, sensors and the list goes on...
The 2.4ghz ISM band is allocated roughly 80mhz of spectrum
A wireless device using the 802.11g protocol can consume up to 20mhz of the available spectrum.
Some 802.11g devices support turbo mode which allows a device to consume up to 40mhz of spectrum - Now imagine a few of these in a location and what it could do to your rc link...
