This is a Control Line Model that I built from a laser cut kit. It is a Vector 40 designed by Randy Smith of AeroProducts.

Wing Span: 50 1/2 in.
Plane Length: 42 1/4 in.
Wing Area: 536 sq. in.
Engine: .32 to .40

The wings are covered in Polyspan and the fuse is covered in silkspan, then painted with dope. In my first contest with this plane I was able to capture 2nd place. I am still getting use to the plane. Flew great right off the building board with very little trimming.

Control Line is alive and kicking !!!
Some of the best looking models in the sky are built by control line pilots. Most are built from kits, not RTF's. Glue, silkspan and dope. The way your grandfather use to build models.

I do own a RC plane and I enjoy all types of model air planes. But Control Line is my passion.

Just in case you wanted to know about me.
