Here's one of me hiting a tree on final with my 1/4-scale Super Cub. I was just flying along, shooting scale touch-and-gos, when this tree got in the way. It's the only tree near the runway, and I managed to hit it.
I figured the wing would be mush, but the only signs of the encounter were a small hole in the fabric and a chipped blade. The Dynaflite Super Cub is one tough bird!
I'm a middle-aged, techie-type of guy who refuses to 'get old'. I grew up in an aviation family. I spent hundreds of hours flying with my dad, who eventually retired with 33,500 hours. I was 9 when he taught me to fly. I've been flying RC since 1984.
