One last photo opportunity before retiring this warbird. I'm putting this warbird down and taking the electronics out of it to put into another project. This P40 was one of most difficult flying/landing warbird for whatever reason. I had plenty of mixing in my radio just to be able to fly this plane.

Here's my latest gas converstion. I bought this plane from a guy that had never flown it. He had a YS110 Engine in it. He never even broke in the engine. I bought it without the engine, knowing that I would make this electric. I've got rimfire 120 in it, castle 100 esc. It had digital JR servos already in the plane. I maiden it this morning, and it flew great. My experience with Kyosho has been great. I think they make the best flying ARFs. I don't like mechanical retracts, so I added a pair of the 60-120 eflite retracts, which makes taking the wings apart a lot easier as well, not dealing with the mechanical pushrods.

Here's my new BH FW-190 that I converted to electric power.

I got rid of the air retracts that came with it, and went with the Eflite 85 degree 60-120 size electric retracts. I used the air tank compartment as a battery hatch, worked out great. I've got a rimfire 120 in it, with an Eflite 80 amp ESC running on 6s 5000 mah 25c Sky Lipo battery.
