I finally found the time to open up the F4 box my first impression was wow on the quality of the finish
If you like scale jets the F4 would be hard to go past, It looks smaller than the HABU32 but I think itís just the shape of the fuse n wings.
The paint on mine is excellent and the covering is nice and tight the Jet is well packed and protected in its box just like the habu32.

One thing I noticed is the use of extra strong magnets on the covers unlike the habu32's canopy lock n pin thingo.
Would have been nice if they attached the control surfaces to the wings like the habu32 but no big deal .

Anyway I had a quick go at trying to fit my 5000mah 8s packs (2 x 4s) looks like they will fit with one pack on top of the other but in doing so I donít think the pilots will fit bit of a negative I guess for the scale side of the jet
Like Tam said looks like a little weight will have to be added to the rear to find balance for 5000mah 8s
Fan almost drops in I will have to shave a very slight bit of wood where the fan mounts slide between the ply mounts (same as the habu32)

I still think this jet will be quite fast on more powerful set ups as for a scale Jet it still looks well streamlined the only real drag item Iím not keen are the panels on the intakes (i donít know there real name is and what are they for on the real F4e??)

Canít wait to take this baby up in to the sky

Just been testing out the habu32.
The 5000MAH 20c turnigys im using are not up to the job and are getting old but I have some new Extreme RC packs to test out soon that should make a big differance

I have to say this is one of the easiest Jets to fly that I have owned and it cuts through the air like an arrow each flight just getts better and better

My test results on the ground are below:
EXTREME 80mm ALLOY WEMOTEC 8s 2800w COMBO
turnigy 5000 4s 30 - 40c
2855watts - 99amps - 3.792KG of thrust

Fan and Motor set up link
http://www.extremerc.com.au/estore/i...oducts_id=1150

The fan sounds good (or possibly the ducting design ) and surprisingly has more of the whoosh sound like my Jetfan90 But man does this Baby just cuts through the air you can idle the power and still moves at a quick rate of knots

my 50mm A4 arrived last week so i flew it for the first time yesterday and was very happy with the little jet.
its top speed it alot higher than the 50mm t45 and the roll rate is extreme but the slow speed handling is nowhere near the T45 over all i really enjoyed it.

I had to change the ESC out to run a 1000mah 4s (unlike the stock T45 ESC) the ESC was getting to hot its hit and miss with the 50mm ESC's if they can run 4s or not i also think fan balance has a lot to do with it, the a4 fan was hard to get right.

i tried out my eagle tree peto tube on the a4 and hit 82mph in a dive not bad as my f4u fun fighter with a rare bear motor hit 87mph in a dive (its level speed is a bit quicker though)

will post up a few videos in the comming days of my 50mm collection ...Continue Reading

Hi all

Just wanted to post up a few details on my newly built FlyFly Mirage 2000 90mm EDF

So far the Mirage is the best flying plane I own itís so smooth to fly I recommend this plane to any EDF lover.

Iím running the Jet on the Jetfan90 with Het 700series motor from ExtremeRc its pulling around 2100watts at 90amps and around 3kg thrust on the scales. plenty of power and hand launches are easy. Flight time on this set up is excellent 7 minutes with mixed throttle and 5 minutes almost flat out the hole time.

The set up below:

* Jetfan90 running a HET 700-60-1865kv on 6s built by ExtremeRc
* Turnigy dlux 120A HV Brushless Speed Controller
* D-MG16 Metal Gear 2.9kg/.08sec/18.8g x2 servos
* Turnigy 5A (8-26v) SBEC
* Zippy 5000 6s 30c - 40c Lipo (yes bottle neck cheap battery lol)
* Parkzone T-28 pilots x2

Will get a video posted up soon
