This past weekend at the West Coast Big Jolt Electric RC Event, Nitroplanes debuted the New 1400mm F6F Hellcat. Antonio from Nitroplanes flew an awesome flight review on Friday. On Saturday, he gave me the opportunity to fly this first sample in the US and it was awesome! During the Noon Manufacturers Demos, Antonio and Tony from Nitroplanes invited me to lead a formation flight demonstation with our Airfield 1400mm T-28s. Needless to say, we had fun and it looked cool! The pilots in attendance and spectators all had great things to say about our demo. Fun stuff!

Here's photos taken during the filming of the 1400mm F6F Flight Review on Friday and a few shots taken on Saturday. Thanks to the entire Nitroplanes Team for making the event such a great time for Evelyn and I.

All the best,

I picked up the Airfield 800mm T-28 from Nitroplanes and what a fun plane! I put it together and flew the maiden on Thursday in preparation for the West Coast Big Jolt Event this past weekend in Chino, CA. I flew this T-28 at the event on a 2S 20c 800mAh battery and the performance and flying qualities are outstanding for such a small model.

Tony

This morning at 6:30am, my daughter and I set out to get in the maiden flight of our new Airfield 800mm AT-6 Texan from Nitroplanes. It arrived yesterday and went together in less than 30 minutes, with another 10 minutes devoted to painting all the white plastic parts yellow. I flew two flights with 7.4v 20C 800mAh batteries and was very surprised at the performance on the 2 cell battery. Especially after reading about pilots going to 3 cell packs. Needless to say, it flies just fine on 2S packs with ample power. Rolls and loops are no problem and it cruises beautifully at half power. I added a 1/2 ounce of weight to the inside the cowl to compensate for the smaller 800mAh battery that I used. Several recommended 1000mAh batteries are on the way to solve the added weight issue. I'm not a fan of adding weight to a plane when I can extend flight times with a larger battery.

I'm very pleased with this AT-6 and look to adding a few more of these great little 800mm warbirds to our "Foam Air Force!" They are too much fun and you can get lots of them inside a Honda Civic!

Best,
Tony

Here's a few early shots of the New Starmax 63" A-1 Skyraider. I'm still assembling and detailing the model and so far, I'm impressed! Looking forward to getting in the wind! More detail photos coming soon!

Last week, I spent several days painting/detailing the Dynam T-28 from Nitroplanes. New national insignias were added and flaps servos installed. I painted the underside of aircraft, landing gear/doors, wing tips, horizontal stabilizer tips, prop tips and cockpit. In flight, the aircraft is a scale flyer and the electric retract perform beautifully.

Here's a few pictures.
