I bought this frame a few months ago, finally got around to putting it together.

It is the Black Crow frame from quadframe.com: http://quadframe.com/collections/qua...oducts/quad004

I used the following components:

Quadrino Zoom / MW 2.0 FC
KDA 20-22 motors / 9x4.7 props
HK Plush 18A ESC
Spektrum Rx

This frame is a little more fancy than the MQ-1. This could be a liability as any replacement arms need to be ordered from Poland. Aside from that, it is a very well designed frame, light and tight. Flew great on the first flight.

I built my own quad from AGL Hobbies LLC. The MQ-1 is an inexpensive and simple design. The photo is B&W because my camera doesn't like the very bright LEDs. Here are some specifications:

FC: Quadrino Zoom w/ Multiwii 2.0
ESC: Simon_k reflashed Hobbywing 20A
Motor: EMax 2210/13
Prop: 9x4.7
Battery: 2200 3S
Rx: Spektrum 6115e
Size: Motor to motor 500mm w/ 12mm booms
Gear: GL-1 gear leg set (AGL)
Booms: 12mm Align
Weight: ?? sporty.

This was a straightforward build. The frame was simple, Quadrino/Power/RC wiring was somewhat of a puzzle, but solved with some reading on the threads.

Flies really great. I like this a lot. Flips are awesome.

Quads are becoming very popular. I couldn't resist the trend and wanted to start out prefab. This is the Witespy RTF. I will be building some other soon with different readymade frames. I'm very happy with the Witespy/Quadrino.

I've been kinda loose with funds the last couple months. I've added two new planes to my fleet. The 3DHS 46" Vyper and a Precision Aerobatics Extra 260.

The Vyper is hands down my favorite plane.

I wanted to check out PA's planes and had my eye on the 260 for quite some time. The plane is light, constructed well and flies very well. There are a few minor complaints I have with it, however, I feel that the quality of workmanship and design is, just like 3DHS, world-class.

Thanks to Nachos Cheese for the Vyper vinyl graphics.

Got the SHP flying great. What a plane.

I liked that plane so much I bought a 3DHS 540 Edge. Maiden'd it today. Great size for me at 40". I loved flying this plane.

Here is my 3DHS collection so far:

3DHS 47" 300 Extra SHP:

Built the plane. Quick and easy build, fun too. Great looking plane.

Had a maiden flight, didn't go too well but the plane did not crash so I consider it success.

Got some advice from the friendly folks on the 47" SHP thread and am going to give it another go. Basically I think I kinda wimped out on the throttle and tried to fly too slow, which ended up flying a stall around a slow circle, tried to punch out but felt some lag and harrier landed. Cracked a wheel pant in the mushy grass field I fly from.

Update:
I think I made a dumb mistake by not tightening the prop onto the shaft tight enough on my maiden. All my subsequent flights have been issue-free and awesome.
