After many interruptions due to house renovations, I've finally reached a point where I'm ready to throw some spray putty at the wing and then be able to top coat and finish the Boomerang . I was starting to think I'd run out of time to have it ready for this years Fest

had a few hold up and waiting on bits and pieces but finally on the roll.
The ailerons are covered and hinged now and I'm just about to start the paint process on them.

Would you believe it,got to do some work on the Boomer today , the only thing I have to do is glass the wings of course its been over cast all day but no rain right up until I mixed resin DOH!!!! I like glassing outside as the fumes don't try to knock you out moved it inside the shop and got it done anyway but can only do 1 wing at a time inside.

Got a chance to get the white tail thing happening today as well as bits and pieces
Now its time to turn my attention back to the wings .The light at the end of the tunnel is now clear and not an oncoming train

Was ready to shoot some primer today but the weather just turned to rubbish so worked on the fiddly bits that need to be done . Cant really see any difference because its at the stage where hours go into it but you cant see whats been done

Yesterday the final stages of filling and getting ready to begin painting started , it may look like its just been dragged from the bottom of some lake but once the high build primer goes on 1 colour with see the boomerang begin to turn into a butterfly
edit just posting what a battered Boomerang looks like before sanding

Now with the shed cleaned up a bit I can get to my tools and resin so now the fuse is 75% glassed ,and I even cut the aileron into the port wing yesterday .the tip of the aileron are a trick as the taper rearward at the very end make it hard to top hinge

Well after all the day spent cleaning I got not much more room , but enough to start glassing the Boomerang which I did do this afternoon . But here some shots I took yesterday which show that I'm in desperate need of the new hanger being built as soon as the Granny flats finished

I took the day away from the boomerang and did a huge clean up of the workshop ,I can actually mov in there now found masses of missing tools
Now I can get on to glassing the fuse and wings and getting this bird ready for the paint job. Plus I also have to finish the minor repairs to the Hurricane. As well as minor maintenance of the Fouga 90 which is yet to fly Manilla 2012 will see it get air
