I had a EDF freebies from HK long time ago, so i decide to do a 3d with it this summer, not a good idea
The plane was hard to control, also could not even hover
Damn, the motor was pulling 30 amps and the plane was 18 Oz., with a prop it would be a beast.
Well, never try never fail!
FAIL!

We are 5 guys with the same plane that night, was soooo fun!
We also do combat(no streamers).
I work hard on the montage, I found same picture of inboard and ground shots.

All EPP 6MM 1.3 density and Coroplast.
Did not try the P51 yet...too much snow !

This is my Katana scratchbuilt,
Made of 6mm EPP and Coroplast(center beam of the wing).
Its a test, the wing made of Epp ribs and the packing tape.(I made the covering to fast...hummmm)
Coke 2L bottle for the canopy.
16 Oz.
I did a lot of crash...tuff plane.
Round shape interresting...

Hi everyone!
Just wanted to share my joy of epp material!
Its a great way to transit from simulator to reality, I had no chance to learn with standard construction(balsa), so scare to do 3d with it and crash.
I found 6mm epp sheet and I scratchbuilt this bi-plane...wow!(I found every tips in post)Tanks!.

Other construction...
This is my P51 B made of only Eps(blue foam) and Coroplast.
Wings: Leading & trailling edge are made of Coroplast, center beam is made of a sandwich of coroplast(see pics). All covered with Venyl.
Body: beam of eps and coroplast, top bottom side panel of eps, paint.
Wingspand 37 1/2 inch
Weight 16 oz
Very strong construction, a lot of crash, minor repair.

If you have other type of non-standard construction send pics!
