Well we actually didnt break anything!!!! Usually we fly every thursday at 10:30 and dont have any problems but we always have an "incident". It may be a broken prop or it might a midair but we always break something. Today we went to the field with 5 planes working and left with all 5 in one piece
Also John brought by his fuse of his Reactor gas 3D plane. That was also very very cool. Cant wait to see it fly.
We got a get together this Thursday at 10:30 at Heritage Park in Simpsonville. So if you are around and have nothing to do Thursday morning and want to hang out and fly feel free to come and fly with us
Well We had some fun today. Going to try to get some chase footage of the corsair from the slow stick. Turns out its not so easy Myself and travis had a mid air between our planes and it got caught on camera That didnt really break my plane but I wasnt high enough to recover before the ground hit my plane. Total was broken wing, motor mount, cowl and the rudder. It was a fun day none the less.
Finally got to get a good flight in today with some pictures thanks to Travis. It was kinda windy but it flew nice anyway. My day came to an end when I hit an "air pocket" and the corsair dropped a couple of feet onto the street and broke the prop.
As most of you dont know today is my birthday and I decided its time for a new plane.
I have always liked parkzone planes not only for their quality but customer service. One of my favorite planes is the corsair so it only made sense to buy the Parkzone corsair I have always wanted. So I purchased it and started to put it together in the shop and started to have problems almost instantly. Out of the box one of the servos for the ailerons was bad. I didnt even leave the LHS before finding this out so they called horizon and they wanted me to send the plane back to them so they could replace the one servo. Luckily the guys at the shop are really nice and had another corsair pnp on the shelf the swapped for mine so I could fly. Thanks guys I owe you one.
After getting to the nearest park and hooking everything up it was time. Control surface check, power check, clear prop (Clear!), power good, Request permission to taxi.... Street clear, Lt. Col. Wash you are cleared for take off! I must say this plane flys great! Much easier to fly then my typhoon 2. Eight minutes later its time to come in. Street clear, maintain altitude, cut power, your a little long down the runway, touchdown....We need fire and rescue to the runway. I came in a little hot due to the fact this plane floats with no power and landed a little further down the street then I wanted to. There was a small drain at the end of the street that was sticking up a little bit but the the plane should have rolled...Continue Reading
