The Waiting Game
It seems I am always waiting. Waiting for parts, waiting for the end of this shift, waiting to go work out and waiting for the next time to fly. Just waiting.
parts for everthing
So today in SC is cold and wet. Yesterday I flew my radian and decided to do some stupid stuff with it that the radian is not designed for. The end result, much to my surprise, was a very cool show and a very happy pilot. Well if I did it once I could do it again...not so much. Broke 4 blades and broke the fuselage in lots of places that were taped on the spot so I could fly some more. Crashed the slow stick and broke a wheel, prop and bent a prop shaft. And if that wasn't enough I decided to fix my jeep today which consisted of replacing a thermostat that was stuck open and replacing the o rings on the fuel injectors because I knew one of them was leaking but not which one. And as it goes I finished everything only to find that fuel line wouldn't reconnect with the quick fitting. It took me 2 hours to find a replacement just for me to rush home, fix it, get dressed for work and leave. I made to work just in time for it to start to rain/snow. Walked in and the boss was here and I didn't have time to shave. So now he is not very happy with me. But the new props are on order as well as a new canopy. Now for it to quit raining so I can fly.
The perfect day... that I cant enjoy
So as most everyone knows that its been cold everywhere! I have had the last couple of days off with the exception of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Well I have been flying my sukhoi with the new set of lights that I have on it about 6-6:30 and it seems the perfect time of day, just really cold. I love the radian but its cold and after so long I don't want to fly anymore. Well I had to work a double yesterday from 7 to 11 and today from 7 to 7. Well it just so happens that yesterday was 62* with little wind and today was 65* with no wind! It was a beautiful day and I'm stuck inside staring at my jeep with my micro sukhoi knowing if I take a break and go fly I will get fired. I'm really considering just getting up and going flying right now.
Update: Decided to go fly, got to my jeep only to find that I left the batteries a the house

broken sukhoi....again
I learned something yesterday while flying the sukhoi. When flying low and slow, turn the high rates off the ailerons.
