As an alternative to copters or fixed wing platforms, I recently began using a PhotoShipOne FlyLine for aerial photography. Not only does this remove the "FAA Airspace" problem, but these bad boys are incredibly smooth, and can carry a LOT of weight. Here's our FlyLine (Stabilized with a Kenyon KS-4 Gyro) at a local climbing gym in preparation for the USAClimbing National Bouldering Championships later this month. Don't forget to click on "HD"!
I had a once in a lifetime opportunity last week to fly in (what I think ) one of the most beautiful spots in the country. It took over an hour of 4 wheeling to get there, and the same back. I left with close to 45 minutes of raw footage, and a part of me died every time I had to hit the "Delete" button in the editor. 9.5 hours later, I ended with this.
I feel like this is the best footage I will ever get, so I made it it's own thread. This is nothing of Trappy's caliber, but for me, this is my best.
Hope you enjoy! Watching in HD in Vimeo is the best.
