You know you're from Saskatchewan when...

-Your pronunciation of "Saskatchewan" is down to 1 syllable: "Skatchw'n"
-You go into a bar and order a Pilsner
-Losing sight of the horizon, for even a few seconds, leaves you with an 'icky' feeling of disorientation for the rest of the day.
-You're confused when cars come equipped with options that would never be needed, such as turn signals and yet, obvious options like trailer hitches and air conditioning, are extras.
-You actually understand, and perhaps can describe in detail, the necessity for geographical correction lines
-You can't understand why those American television networks never settle on a schedule, instead of shifting all their programs back and forth an hour every spring and fall.
-You always know Christmas is near because stores stay open late TWO nights a week rather than one or not at all.
-While cleaning out your teenage son's closet, you're alarmed to discover tucked away in the back a foot-high stack of old "Western Producers".
-You rent off-season storage space for your snowmobile on a week-by-week basis
-You understand, and become quite emotional, when some outsider doesn't know the difference between a farmer and a rancher
-You overhear someone explain how he installed a counter binder on his combine's pulley-driven wheat flattener with a square head hydrostatic coupler, using a universal bushing degreaser, and you can't believe he left only 5 inches...Continue Reading

this is what a friend sent me (i am from Canada):

Subject: Joke of the year - LOL

Now that Vancouver is hosting the 2010 WinterOlympics, these are some questions people from all over the world are asking.

Believe it or not these questions about Canada were posted on an International Tourism Website.

Obviously the answers are a joke; but the questions were really asked!

Q: I have never seen it warm on Canadian TV, so how do the plants grow? ( England )
A. We import all plants fully grown and then just sit around and watch them die.

Q: Will I be able to see Polar Bears in the street? ( USA )
A: Depends on how much you've been drinking.

Q: I want to walk from Vancouver to Toronto - can I follow the Railroad tracks? ( Sweden )
A: Sure, it's only Four thousand miles, take lots of water.

Q: Is it safe to run around in the bushes in Canada ? ( Sweden )
A: So it's true what they say about Swedes.

Q: Are there any ATM's (cash machines) in Canada ? Can you send me a list of them in Toronto , Vancouver , Edmonton and Halifax ? ( England )
A: No, but you'd better bring a few extra furs for trading purposes.

Q: Can you give me some information about hippo racing in Canada ? ( USA )
A: A-fri-ca is the big triangle shaped continent south of Europe Ca-na-da is that big country to your North...oh forget it. Sure, the hippo racing is every Tuesday night in Calgary Come naked.

Q: Which direction is North in Canada ? ( USA )
A: Face south and...Continue Reading

well this week i had no school so on friday after school me and my family went to see monster trucks and things like that (demo derby, tough truck racing, ect). it was super fun we got to see a motor bike do a backflip and a monster truck flipped realy close to us. i had a great time there. then the next day i went to the hobby store and i bought 3 rockets,a little super simple rubber band powered plane and a new battery for my car. then we came home for a couple of days then went to the lake. at the lake we did lots of skidooing and we also did some ice fishing. we didn't catch any fish ice fishing. also my friends grandma invited me and him to stay with her for a coulple days. so i went there from the lake. there we went to the hobby store and i bought some CA and some debonder for it(don't want to get one stuck to my finger AGAIN!)and some rocket motors. we went to a guy who was taking about reptiles and got to feel some of them. we also went and seen the movie mall cop. it was so funny!

well i made some more skis(my 3rd set) and the worked the best. BOTH of them felt lighter than ONE of any of my other skis. then i flew with them and i took a super hard landing and the landing gear was bent right to the fuse. so i bent it back and it was fine (since it is a super cub ) then for the second "landing" one of the plastic parts og the ski split so it was the end of that ski i am now thinking of even lighter stronger skis to build

well i got back from flying my super cub and i also tested out my new skis and they work good but then on my seconed landing on ski broke. i took it off and put on the wheels that i brought with me and since i flew it at the school that i go to and i flew it after school and my teachers saw me and also when i broke the ski the battery box came lose so i put an elastic from one of the skis to hold it on and to show my teachers i went and flew it and well i was trying to land it but it got to windy and i hit a tree then the plane fell on the road half a block away so i ran and got it and looked at it and there seemed to be no damage then once i walked home i took off the motor cover and the fire wall was loose so what do you think that i should do to fix it. it is just cracked in some places

well i was building some stuff i was useing some cheap super glue. i was working and then i went to go and use some super glue and.....it stuck to my finger . so i went and asked my mom if she had any pait thinner and i showed her my finger with the tube of glue atached to it and she laughed and she say no i don't think we have any so i went and looked for some and i couldn't find any so then i asked her if she had any nailpolish remover and so said maybe but i couldn't find any. my mom also had a friend over and she phoned some people that she knew and all of them said that they didn't have any thing that would help get it off then she called someone else and they said that they would go and get some stuff that will take it off. none of the stores opened untill noon so i had to wait almost a hour and a half then none of the stores had anything that would get it off. the person said either wait for 4-5 days for it to fall off or go to the hospatal and they will take it off. then i tried soap and warm water and after a couple min. of it soaking in it i was just able to peel it off without peeling off any skin
