Here are more pics....also, it's balancing about 40%, sound right? And is it right to call this a "Delta" wing?

A new project....something I've wanted to do for awhile.

Built out of 2 Dollar Tree Foamboards. Will attach a 64mm EDF (Ammo 3500kv 20-40 motor from my old Electrifly L-39) and an E-Flite 25 Amp ESC. 2 Turnigy TG9 9 gram servos also, and will fly on an Hyperion 3s2p 2100mAh Lipo.

More pics to come!

If anyone can help me ID this motor it would be greatly appreciated.

I think it's used on one of Parkzone's A/C...maybe an old Stryker, but not sure. There is a worn tag on one of the wires that I think says "Horizon Hobby".

The 22nd Annual Arizona Jet Rally was a great event today held at the Superstition Airpark near Apache Junction, Arizona. There were quite a few vendors, a great raffle, and some awesome EDF's, Jets, and great flying!...Continue Reading

The maiden of the RCPowers.com X-31 went very well! Had to trim the crap outta it, and need to add some nose weight, also cracked the motor mount on landing, but overall went very well!

I think I'll put it in the hanger and make a new one using the information I gathered on the maiden today. Like a wing with more surface area, and I might make the canards actually function.

Finally finished the X-31. Gonna go maiden in a bit. Thought I would post some pre-maiden pics.... just in case!

My wife asked me if it will fly....I told her everything will fly at least once.

To all those who served, and are serving, I thank you. To all those that made the ultimate sacrifice, I lift a glass to your fortitude and selflessness that has allowed others in this great country to do what we want and what we love.

Special thanks to my gunner, SGT J. Snyder, now serving in Afghanistan. If he hadn't of pulled the trigger on a cold, dark night in Iraq then I may not be here.

To all the men and women of B 161 FA and the 34th ID, I salute you.

Many thanks to LipoPilot (http://www.youtube.com/user/LIPOPILOT) and his wonderful build series on YouTube about the F2A Brewster Buffalo. I would recommend watching the entire series for anyone, especially those just venturing into the world of building from plans...like me and my first time!

After watching the videos I decided to try my hand at my first plan-built plane. I had always wanted to make my own foamie, and thought I would do something ala Cub, but after stumbling across LipoPilot's video series, he made the decision for me. His videos are very well planned-out, and the instruction is second-to-none.

I am using an Eflite Park 370 Direct Drive with a Silver Series 25A ESC. Anyone have a prop recommendation?

So, I started the repair process after my unfortunate crash with my new L-39. Nose and cockpit area was cracked in three places.

I taped the forward fuselage in the places it was cracked (just some temp tape on the outside to hold the pieces together), then some dabs of epoxy, remove the tape after epoxy is dry, then coat fiberglass cloth strips in epoxy and emplace three of these strips into the interior of the fuselage, finishing up by spreading epoxy over the cracks, outside and in.

Then I used my hot-wire to cut a piece of insulation foam to size, then carved it out to make a battery tray. The foam "block" should add some reinforcement....any and all will help!

Next will be some filler, sanding, take the paint job off, more sanding, basecoat of primer, and new paint job! I'm thinking of these two:
