Thought it would be a good idea to add a page to my blog so that I could give people a place to see what I'm talking about, something else to do with my time.


Strut attachment option

Here is a couple of views so you can see how the screw eyes hold the struts in place. Just a 1/4 turn locks or unlocks them makes for quick attachment at the field . They are 5/16" across the circle outside to outside don't ask me what screw size, it's about the same as the orriginal screws maybe a tad larger but I didn't have to enlarge the hole in the batt box lip they screwed right in they fit tight enough that they don't turn from vibration.

I took some Photo's of a couple locations where I have room enough to fly the SC once weather conditions permit. Pretty windy 10+ mph when I took them 3-25-08. These three pic's are about a 1/2 mile from my house which is at the base of the low mountain in the second shot.
The next shots are taken next to our local airport, where they have built streets for an industrial park which doesn't seem to be getting any takers. No traffic worries mate! Snow capped mountains are the Siskiyou's.
Sis'Qs
as they are called locally, they are on the border between OR and CA. Yellow buildings are a sawmill across the airstrip and highway about 1/4 mile away. There is a nice brush and rock free area at the SW end of the street, in case I can't make it back to the street / landing strip .

The street wasn't built when this photo was taken, but was built about where the dirt loop is by the hangars at the North end of the airfield. Since then the image has been updated so you can see the paved rectangle now. Click the link.
