Started building FransBal's Mimi glider a while ago. I made a solid balsa wing like the original, but with the heavy balsa we have here in SA the wing ended up weighing 220g! Scary when you think the recommended AUW is 130-170g.
I decided to try and make a foam core, carbon re-in forced, balsa covered wing and it was a semi success. The two wing halves weighs around 90g together, hopefully around 100g when joined. Hopefully I'll have some time to build a fuselage in the near future.
