I was in a hurry one day to get some equipment setup, so I built this in under 30min (minus spray paint) - I share it with you, not because it is pretty, because it's certainly not, but only because it is under $10 to build.
Coroplast board, hot glue and tape.
It can sit nicely on a tripod stand, or can be neck strapped. It is really light.
The screen is simply velcroed to the coro - everything is held in place with velcro so toally removeable. Batts are velcroed in place, and a little strip of foam down the centre to keep things tight.
It was actually designed so my TX can be held ontop of the 'box' and used even without a neck strap. It actually works pretty well for what it is. I use it on a tripod mainly with a black sheet over top for viewing with my spotter - so nobody gets to see it anyway!
V2 will still be in coro, but with a little more time and finesse!
