Well guys, this weekend we were at the Pacific Coast Freestyle Championships in Molalla, Oregon and I have to say that the Extra really shined! Sadly, on my first round, I lost the prop on my Extreme Flight 110" Yak in a KE spin which led to a pancake landing. The plane will fly again, but I did not feel comfortable flying it with a broken LG mount. With my drop round used up, my brother Michael graciously loaned me his 50cc Extra that was mine last year to fly. I hadn't flown it in months, but with the Lord's help, I had 2 solid rounds after that and won 1st place in the freestyle! All this with a hurt hand as well, it was a real miracle!
Michael won the Basic class with the plane on Thursday and then the freestyle on Sunday! This plane rocks and is still lethal against 40%ers in freestyle!
I just maidened my new Extreme Flight 110" Yak-54 and it's by FAR the best 100cc plane on the market and exceeds the capabilities of many 40%ers! I will be flying this in the Molalla Pacific Coast Freestyle Championship on August 1st!
Video to come!
