Finishing up an F4 Sundowner. BP-21. What happened to those motors, I can't find them anymore?

Got a used mini blade thru the sailplanes forum. I'm so stoked as this is my first fast ship.

Did a minor repaint and looks good to me. I'll be taking out to the secret spot this weekend. Thanks Rick!

Here's my new "red" F-18 ducted fan from HL. Got it on sale as the red came out pink from the factory in China. I repainted it to a more realistic gray and black naval colors.

Left off the landing gear as I hate the look of gears down in flight. Added a Star Wars Tie fighter pilot from Kmart to the cockpit. Looks pretty good to me.

Maiden went great on Monday. Strong toss with wot and she took to the air. No trim needed as she was very stable in the 10mph wind.

Didn't time the battery charge and after 5-6 minutes the throttle cut but I was able to bring her in on a downwind leg and flared into the wind for an easy landing. I was impressed by the glide.

1300 lipo is rated 18C. It was pretty hot coming out of the fuse. Good thing there is a lot of cooling there.

Overall a nice easy flyer. Good power from the single fan. Don't have my scale but I figure about 19-20 oz.

At the field. The B2 has the kf airfoil. It flies with a lot of lift. I had to click down on trim quite a bit even with the elevons in neutral. Turns were a bit sluggish and the nose tended to drop. Turning right was slower than left. The servos throws are set the same so I think it's the balance of the battery and electronics that affect this. Running a 1000 3s lipo ad 1300kv outrunner with a 6x5. Lots of thrust out of a small motor.

But I preferred the Stryker's flight better as it just cuts thru the air much better and flies great out of the box with a bp21.

Got back this Monday from the Nellis Air Show. Beautiful weather and the show was great. From WWII to Korea to Modern Jets.

Definitely a red meat and booze weekend. Came home to detox.

Kudos to the P51 pilot for keeping up with the A10, F4 and F22 jets. Musta been WOT all the way!

Hmmm. This is new stuff for me this blogging. Noob time.

Just maidened the F-16 at the field this week. Thanks to Rob for the nice launch and pics.

My fav pic tho is Rob's GWS Beaver over the Golden Gate Bridge. Is it real or is it...?

Working on my GWS A-10 and mini Mig29 with edf 55. Last time I tried to do a scratch F22 it ended up underpowered and the cg was way off. By the time I was done, I used half a bottle of ca to fix my crashes.
