I got my hawkeye fuselage all set up with a turnigy 3530 brushless motor and hs-81 rudder servo.Flys really easy but i havent flown it over water yet or put my camera on it yet.I did put some balsa on both sides of the wheel to keep it straight.What a great product and very professionally done kit from Joel
i am just retired and living on my sailboat in marathon florida.i seem to have nothing to do but build and fly re planes.here are a few more i built recently.i built an extra stiffy from omp.i built a hyperion sniper.i built a dw 28in yak.i built a smaller 17in ws yak.this one i made with sheet depron 3mm.i like to show the controls alot.i just hate it when people show a pretty pic of the plane and not show the control setup.
seems like i just have to keep buying and building planes.i got the rc in me he he.it is a magister and pluma easycub.you can see how much bigger the magister fuse is compared to the easycub.
i put a set of gws floats on the ez today.hard to figure out the cg and on step thingy.another plane to try with no wind.
i bought a almost new eflite 480-920kv motor and eflite 40 amp v2 esc for 80 dollars.i guess i will try that in the taylorcraft.what to do next.getting the parkzone t-28 ready to fly.ordered a few spare parts for it.
the glider measures 80in.
i finally got busy this morning after shore run with windy the weener--my dog he he.i got the lindage figured out.just need a calm day to try out the glider and see if the cg is about right.it was set up for a plastic man so should be close.here are some pics.i did not hook the servos up yet.will wait till i go ashore and try to fly it.
well i bought a few more planes this week.i bought an e-flite at-6 texan-parkzone t-28 and an e-flite taylorcraft 450.the t-28 comes ready to fly so i think i will put the taylorcraft 450 together next.i am messing around with a powered hang glider right now.here are the latest pics. trying to decide on a motor for the taylorcraft 450.i have a scorpion 2215-22 and an axi 2808-20 or i can buy the e-flite 450 or 480.scorpion looks like it.
i finally got the electronics in the plane.still need jumper from motor to esc.the pins are 2.3mm and all i had were 2mm--go figure.i wish every dealer would get on the same page on this.here are a few more pics.
just took inventory of planes to build-need a bigger mini van and sailboat to put them in..built ez star-- centurion cessna --17in yak foamie and avion.need to build 380 long ez canard balsa and 2ea foam-tri star canard-56in long ez canard--2ea slow sticks--wingo--begin air---380 quickie canard 2ea micro mustangs--se5a micro plane and a pondside seaplane.i also have 2 sets of wasp wings and tails to make a couple trainers with.another steelhead ss wing set too. maybe some more hiding away somewhere on this sailboat ha ha.what to build next?

well i got a little bored sitting out in boot key harbor on my sailboat.decided to build some planes.i built a seaplane with a steelhead wing--abug and a 12in bug-built a 34in shinden canard.i will upload a few pics tonight.
this is my collection after 3 months.trex 450s==esky cp-2==gaui ep-100=mini zoom se pro with long ext. boom=huricane 200=spare se pro body=walkera 5g6 mega mini.do we count picoo z.dx7 radio with 6100 receiver=jr 7202 with 2 ea r790ou ultra lite receivers=futaba 6exh with r146ip receiver.i think it's time to start learning how to fly.wish someone in the keys flew around here.ha ha,now where to find a dr. to diagnose my problem and what might be the cure to all this.
this is my new carbon fibre parts maker.it has x y and z axis to the thousand of and inch and uses a dremel 400 motor to run the cutters.you can also add and assy.that will turn it into a lathe.all from layindustries.com.i found it on ebay. he has the basic model for 200 bucks.i have about 350 or so in mine.carbon fibre is expensive though.i found a sheet on ebay==gloss both sides==1mm thick about the size of a sheet of paper for 35.00 dollars.
