This is a special plane that I have had for a long time, but haven't really posted any information on before now. It's special because I built it from scratch (my first one). Boomer put plans up for his 'Cul-de-sac' flying airplane a couple of years ago. I was pretty nervous about building it, but found that it was not difficult at all. I really enjoyed the build, but I enjoy flying it much more!

This plane can be flown in more wind than I would have originally thought since it is so light, but it really shines indoors or on calm days. My newest addition to the fleet is the WannaBug. It is like the Bug, but a lot cheaper (just the price of EPP foam). I am thankful to FirstShirt for the help with the plans. I saw his video ( http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...light=WannaBug ). I thought, "I have got to have one of those". Well, he was nice enough to send me that plans for the one he built. It is an extremely easy plane to build, and a lot of fun to fly. It only has about an 18 1/2" wingspan. Did I say that I had a great time flying it today. EPP is the way to go! While getting information on the Trainer 1 build, I read a post from GPW saying the Stealth Sport was a great second plane. I went to Hippo's site and got the plans (there is a short build guide also) for this plane. It only took a couple of hours to build (with wasting time looking for prop adapters and other little odds and ends). I took it out to the field with me today. The wind was only blowing about 6mph. I was glad for that. I originally flew it with a 5X5 prop, 2s 1350 lipos and a little FC 28-05 Brushless Outrunner 2840Kv that I picked up at United Hobbies. It flew pretty good on that setup, but I decided to try a 6X4 prop on it. I put the prop on it that came stock with my F-27 Stryker. I really like the way it flies on this setup. Not too fast, handles really well, just enough thrust and everything running cool.

This plane is a lot of to fly. I can't believe I have never heard of it (or it didn't register) before. I only flew two packs through it, but it was enough to realize that it is a lot of fun to fly. It can be flown in a very small field easily. I may try to get some video of it. It is hard to see when flying low in the camera shots I have of it since it is painted black. I can recommend this plane also as it is an easy build and a fun plane to fly (not for a first plane though). Here is my Easy Star. I have a Warp 4 brushless in it and fly it with an APC 6X4 prop and 3s 2100 lipos. It will really get up and go. I have extended the rudder, put a fiberglass spar in the tail (before gluing the two halves of the fuse together) and did the velcro canopy mod. This plane flies exceptionally well. It glides forever and can be flown a long time in thermals. I would highly recommend it to anyone. It is very predictable and a lot of fun!

I needed a plane to train two of my three sons how to fly. I was going to purchase a PEC (and still might in the future), but I remembered GPW's Trainer One. I remembered that it was a great trainer, so I went to the thread and discovered that they made a 1 1/2 too. I decided to build one of each. It took just a few hours for me to put together the large 1 1/2 size Trainer. I took it out myself this morning for a maiden, and it flew great (probably better than the simulator on take-offs). I went and got Son 1 and Son 2 (Son 3 wanted to play the WII :rolleyes: ) We walked back down to our little field and took her up. Son 2 was pretty nervous that he would crash the plane, but quickly got over his fears. He has been practicing on fms, but this was his first time to fly the real thing. He had a blast! After flying for about one hour, we packed things up and came home. The plane is the Trainer 1 1/2 with a BP-21, GWS 7035 prop, 3s 1350 and 2100 packs. It flies forever on this setup and nothing gets even warm.

My 11 yr. old son has been wanting to build another plane, so we decided to try Tony's Blu-Baby. It sounded like an easy flyer, and we liked the design. It took us a full week from start to finish since we had to wait until we both had time off together to do it. We are very pleased with the way it turned out. It is made of Blucore fff foam. We took it out for it's maiden flight this morning, and it flew just great! Here are some pictures.
