Although Intermezzo 100 looks very similar to my UAV Flying Wing it's a complete redesign. Smaller, more efficient, more agile and faster with a fuselage big enough so that it can carry some of my gadgets. All the electronics including the battery are velcroed to the 50x40x340 mm platform.

The main goals of the UAV Flying Wing design were versatility and simplicity.

Versatility is achieved by implementing a platform design for the fuselage. All the payload like RC gear, cameras or any other electronic devices can be freely positioned on the platform. This concept eliminates the CG issues other flying wing designs may encounter. The canopy covers the whole fuselage, has no supporting function for the structure and with bulky payloads the plane can even be flown without it.

I like to make things as simple as possible and that's why all my designs are flying wings so far. The KFm3 airfoil I used for UAV Flying Wing contributes to the build simplification.

The UAV Playground is a collection of software components written in the Java programming language. They extend the Processing Development Environment (PDE) with some functionality that can help you to simulate and test different aspects of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV).
UAV Playground and all the Software (like the FlightGear Flight Simulator) it is based on are freely available.

The source code can be found on the Open Source project page at code.google.com/p/uavplayground.
