My first Fast 2.5M Slope plane ever. Thanks to the guys over at the slope forums for helping me gather lots of info and decisions on purchasing a carbon, durable, fast, and flies in light lift plane.

My decision ended up purchasing a Used Miraj 30.80 version. Modified MG06 airfoil compared to the regular Miraj. With a little TLC, it was ready to rock.

Pretty much "THE" plane that I have been looking for. I can fly it without worrying about breaking the plane. Even if I do, break or dent something, it's always easier to fix than the high dollar molded ships.

I picked up this one $450 RTF which I thought was a good deal for a fixer upper plane. In all, it went well. A bit of sanding, Paint, and re hinging made the plane look just as new.

Took my time programming the radio and double checking everything to make sure it's doing what it's supposed to do. I'm still having RX battery issues but the battery it came with is working fine. I was able to fly the plane on the pack it came with for a good 30+ minutes. 2 flights. All went well.

First, I checked the elevator controls on a flat field with plenty of grass. Just to make sure it didn't have too much up elevator. After that was done and trimmed out, I headed up the slope which is a 60-80 feet dam. The wind was blowing constantly...Continue Reading
